Default Have you heard of this 3-month medical marijuana period (instead of 12)

When I went in for my evaluation last year to get my recommendation for my migraines, the doctor said he will give me a 3-month period in which I can use medical marijuana. The 3 months will be extended to 12 once I get documentation of a diagnosis of my migraine.

Has anybody heard of this? And are they still doing this?

I am asking because I dont have health insurance and a diagnosis for this can be expensive so I want to avoid until I have health insurance

Is there your primary care doc, or a business strictly for medical mj scrips? Usually if you tell them the medical reason, whatever prescription drugs you are taking for it and pay its just twelve months. Never heard of three months in cali

    I've seen that.

They want real proof of your ailment

You have 3 months to provide information from your doctor\perscriptions...whatever they want

If not they won't renew you

My doc does three months for undocumented issues as well. He said it was an ass-covering measure.

Go to a different doctor and ask for a renewal. It should cost you $60 for a full year. I've never once shown any proof of anything and never had a problem getting a rec.
    kpmarine and Metasynth like this.

The thing is I've been to 3 doctors and they all told me the same thing. Weird thing is that mine is about to last a year instead of 3 months even though the doctor told me I need to provide proof within 3 months. I dont know if they said that just to be protected in court.

My recommendation is about to expire so I want to renew but dont want to go through so much trouble. I simply cannot afford an MRI right now.

What's your area code? Let's find you a new doctor.

Where do you live? You can go to most MJ doctors and pay $30 for a year.. no documents necessary.
