Which part of Cali. to move to? please help!
whats up guys? sorry in advanced if this is too long or boring but trying to get some info!!
i plan on moving to Cali. in late October, mid November. wanted to know what area is a nice place for a 23year old single male to move to, i would like to be an hour or 2 away from a beach rather then 6+ hours away. (lol i was told "hey its CALI!! anywhere is nice) but was considering Modesto, Adelanto, or Riverside.(i know these places may not have beaches close to them but this is why im asking and searching for answers)
i believe i read something online saying you cant live in one county and go into a different county to get a medical marijuana card? any info on that.
Any pros or cons as to living in one of these cities, (heard Modesto gets really hot and humid) or do you guys have a better recommendation? I don't want to make the mistake i made when moving from CT to FL and moved into a really really boring small town where there is nothing to do, so trying to get personal opinions from fellow RIU Cali members!!
Oakland was on my mind too but read its really expensive but more 420 friendly (cops wise) then other cities...any other cities 420 friendly (cops wise)? (i will be following the city limit for growing "X" amount of plants mature/immature pending which city i move too but rather have a place where cops are a little bit more relaxed and wont hassle you as much)
(i would also like to grow outdoors, so an area where its legal to grow outdoors would be helpful, i searched and found Adelanto is a no-no for outdoor growing, only upside is the house prices i found help me save a couples of more 1000s then planned but willing to sacrifice if i can find a nice place where i can grow outdoors and still within my price range

ps i plan on making this a permanent move, and rather have a house in an area where i can have a family down the road. like the outskirts of a major city maybe?

Well I live in riverside county...not a whole lot to do in my area but riverside is pretty decent and temecula is pretty decent. Always can drive to LA if you get bored. I'm actually thinking about moving to the bay area when this lease is up. I actually just did the same thing you are doing (cross country move) about 2 weeks ago and I can tell you that cali is pretty awesome. One of the few places you can drive a few hours in each direction and have beach, snow capped mtns or dessert depending on your mood. I'd personally say make sure you fly out and check out the area before you move though. The city I'm in now is almost more hickish then where i moved from in NC and there isnt much to do around here.
Modesto is a happenin place. Defenitely go to modesto! So cal sucks.
My suggestion is that you move here, anywhere really and just rent. There's no way for anyone to tell you about here you just have to come and figure it out for yourself. What you consider hot may not be what i consider hot etc.... So just move out here and travel around visiting different parts of the state.
That's basically what we are doing. We've been here for about 3 weeks and we've been checking out different metro areas deciding where we want to go.
Riverside, Temecula, San Diego Areas are where it's @.
San Bernadino, LA county areas are all Shitty. The new best spots are Inland Empire down to San Diego.

Smart way to do it. There's no way you can know a place until you live there. So how you like Riverside?
