    Default Medicinal Bakery info- HELP!

    Hi All,

I want to know what it takes to start a Medicinal marijuana bakery. I've looked around online for the past few months for a starting point, or how I would go about getting information to start but there isn't much out there other than bush league scams, and sites trying to sell shit. It seems as if SoCal has a lot of catching up to do in relation to Oakland and the Bay. I'm not sure why this information isn't readily available. I have looked on my city's website, and still nothing.

    My main questions are:

In california, do you need a business license to vend to dispensaries?

How do I acquire an LLC ? Is this LLC somehow different because I will be preparing food?

Much appreciation for any thoughts on the matter. :P

do you guys (i'm about to sound stupid ) have agency things such as the NHO and Health and Safety? if so i'd have thought that you will need a whole bunch of inspections of your cooking area etc to obtain certificates of hygiene etc prior to being able to sell anything
I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade... And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party.

    Great question....
Oakland and the Bay area will always be ahead of us (SoCalians) in the general cannabis movement (unfortunately) due to political views. and extreme influence from Richard Lee.

    IF November ends well,

You will need a Bus Lic, some kind of food handleing lic, proof of signed commercial lease, and bunch of other bs that will be available to you the moment RCTCA 2010 becomes effective.

no, you do not need a lic to vendor.

Limited Liability Corporation, is a corporation rather than self proprietorship (easy to establish).

I have been researching this as well and have found out that while many collectives wont "ask" for it, proof that your edibles were prepared in a "certified Kitchen" is required when ANY edible product is intended for distribution for consumption. Some of the more established collectives know this and require a copy of certification. One way us small businesses can do this is to rent commercial kitchen space to prepare our products. Check with some of your local small caterers or bakeries to see if they are willing to rent you their kitchen while they are normally closed.... There are also some commercial kitchen rental facilities in LA where you can rent for $25 per hour and all they require for you to bake MMJ edibles there is your food handlers card (which I HOPE you have if you are distributing) and a letter from the Dept. of Health stating you are legally authorized to bake with marijuana (county card)... What I haven't been able to find out is the legal amount of "Trim" or shake we can have on-hand for our products and How MUCH product (butter/tincture/edibles) we can have at one time... Thoughts?

also label things with eggs. my gf is extremely allergic to egg yolks. one time at a potluck at work, she ate a cookie or something with egg in it and her throat closed up. so anything that someone can be allergic to, label it
