errrrrr. deal with them with with soil mothers a lot.

a few neem oil hits can do it, but just letting the pots dry up entirely is the only solution that has 100% work for me.
I worked in the pharmaceutical industry for a decade. Don't tell me what is bad for me.

I had a severe infestation my last grow, and I was about 4 weeks into flowering when it happened. Get some neem oil, sticky traps, and mosquito dunks. You can get all this stuff at Home Depot or Lowes and maybe even Walmart. You also want to get some sand or fish aquarium rock to put a layer covering the top of your soil. I used white aquarium rock since that was all I could find in the middle of winter. You put a layer of sand/rock because the gnats lay their eggs in your soil. This layer of sand/rock helps prevent them from doing this. I then crushed up the mosquito dunks into little pieces and practically dust by putting it in a plastic bag and beating it with a hammer. I then put it into my watering jug and let it sit there for 24 hours so it kind of disolves into the water. You do this because the dunks have a bacteria in it that kills the eggd of the gnats after some time. On top of all that I use neem oil in 2 different ways. The 1st is to add 2 tablespoons to a gallon of water and water your plants with this mixture. The second is to take a 1 liyter spray bottle and add 1 tablespoon of neem oil to it. I then spray the sand/rock several times a day along with the outside and underneath the pots of the plants. After doing this for 2 weeks the infestation was practically gone. If your plants aren't flowerting yet then you can spray the whole plants and make sure you spray both sides of the leaves. I hope that this helps. I know that this helped me and it sounds like you caught it early. Don't waste anytime taking care of this problem because for every 1 you see there are probably 10 that you don't. Good luck and ask me any questions and if I can be of any help I will.
