I have recently bought all 3 of these miticides. Floramite and Avid are miticides and Azamax says its a botanical insecticide, miticide, and nematicide. Have a decent problem with spidermites, no webs or anything but a good amount of white dots on the leafs. There hardly visible but you can see em. Just wondering what would be the best one of these to start with or if anyone has used em with good/bad results in the past. any info would be great. thanks.

I dont know what state your in but your lucky you can get floramite. All of these are good and effective. If your dealing with non-Humboldt/mendo super-mites any of them will decimate the adult mites. Problem with spider mites is that the eggs are immune to almost everything. The only time I've ever seen them killed in a single application is with a mix of Floramite and Ovation. Ovation (like ovaum/egg) specifically target the eggs. This method only seems to really work with a fogger but there not cheap. All of these will work much better with a fogger, http://www.hydroponics.net/i/133067

What you really need to do to rid yourself of the mites is kill consider their reproductive cycle. Use floramite or your pick but for mites with no immunity, floramite>Avid>Azamax. Then turn the heat up a bit if you can to speed the hatching, in three days hit them again. Might be better to use the Avid the second time. This should knock them back to undetectable levels but at the end of flowering you will prbably see some webbing at the tips of the buds if you don't follow up with at least one more application. I would suggest begging to use the Azamax as a foliar spray on a regular basis after performing the above treatment. That should completely rid your plants of the mites.

Floramite will kill eggs, Avid won't. Floramite will kill what it touches, but won't kill down the road. Avid is systemically absorbed, and will continue to kill for up to 28 days or so. Floramite and Avid shouldn't be used after 2-3rd week of flowering. Azamax can be used anytime, up to a day before flowering. Mites are hard as heck to kill off 100%. Rotate Avid and Floramite, a month apart for a thorough killing. Use Azamax as a soil drench every couple of weeks or so. SPRAY and wet down EVERYTHING on the plants, top-bottoms and everywhere in between. Your success depends on a very thorough spray!Lastly, be very careful when you spray using a chemical mask and full body covering. Don't breath or get anything on yourself. Shower when done (with soap for u dirty guys!).

Get a spinosad product. Monterey gardens has a good one. Use it with a wetting agent, 3 application 3 days apart and mites all gone. Spinosad is a bacteria that breaks down in light in a few days also so no nasty chemicals and it can be used up until days before harvest. Best of all it works.

There is one way to kill them eggs and all in one shot. Forbid 4f. Forbid 4f is so strong you dont even have to spray the undersides of the leaves. Just spray it ON the leaves and it kills eggs and mites right through the leaves. Because it works systemically, it can only be used in vegetative phase. It keeps killing for about 40 days. That's almost 7 weeks. It's great stuff.

I had a two year long infection. Tried everything under the sun, they always came back. Sprayed once with forbid during vegetative and no more mites. I did spray the floor and sides of the buckets a few weeks later to get rid of any hiders. I also sprayed my house plants.

I have not seen a mite since. I used it once during vegetative stage on each crop for the next six months. I also sprayed them when they were rooted cuttings. NOW I just spray the rooted cuttings before they go into the system for prevention.

Forbid is super expensive. Like $400 a pint and 1 ml makes 1-2 gallons. It is super potent stuff. You can buy small amounts online for $15 - $25. I bought 4 ml on ebay in a little vial with a 1 ml measuring pipette for $15. I am still on the first gallon, a year later. I have used 1 ml and that's all. I still have enough left to make 3 -6 gallons. Best $15 I have ever spent.

You can NOT use it during flowering, but it keeps killing for so long that it isn't necessary. It wipes them out with one application.
