Do bugs prefer certain strains over others?

I have four strains ( Permafrost, budzilla, crippler, and northern lights) all next to eachother. For some reason, the permafrost has aquired a spider mite problem, but no other plant has. This makes me think that the bugs are attracted to permafrost more than the others. does this sound logical?

There is probably a logical reason why but it depends. Did you start all of these from seed yourself? If you got this particular plant from a friend the mites could have come with it.
If you did grow them yourself it is possible that this particular plant is just the closest to where ever they did come from. That could be a vent or a window or some little crack in the wall or they could have hitched a ride on a pet or person. At any rate, they may have first established themselves on that plant but they can certainly spread to the others in due time...if there are not already a few conspiring to leave home and multiply else where.

Spider Mites have preferences just like the fat lady at the salad bar. But at the end of the day....they will eat any strain...from my experience, sadly. If in veg I'd get floramite or avid. If in flowering, ladybugs or predator mites. Spider mites are straight evil. I've seen them destroy an entire crop in a matter of days. Hope this helps.

thanx for the advice guys.
ive been neem oiling, and bug bombing but i just cant seem to get rid of them.
i just hope they stay on that one plant. last time the bugs were on all the plants and i had to cut them 3 weeks early or they would die =/

When I grew my Pineapple Express I acquired some strange worm like bugs in the bottom of the tray and some kinda white bug in the soil. I did lotz of research to find out what the hell they were and how to get rid of them and couldnt find shit. At the same time I was flowering my Thai Super Skunks n the same tent and they never got them damn things. It was hard enough dealing with one plant.

If you've resorted to spraying pesticides already, get AVID. It will destroy eggs and mites in one spraying. no more...by by. IMHO this is the very most effective way of dealing with them. I just don't advocate it during flowering. If you can't find AVID use Floramite. My experience with pyrithrins is that the Spider Mites eventually learn how to give it the middle finger and you just end up fucking up your plants by spraying them with it.
