Bugs maybe?

I have 9 plants going in the veg state. I just noticed today that on one plant there are very small gold/amber bumps on the stem.

As far as I can tell they are only on one plant. The don't move or if they do it is unobservable. I haven't seen any bite marks/ spots on the leaves anywhere & no webbing or anything. I have looked at them under 60x mag and I can't really make out any defining features. They are only about the size of a grain of sand. They are kind of brittle and remind me of minuscule dobs of caramelized sugar... or maybe eye boogers.

Unfortunately I can't get pics, which would probably be more useful than any text description I could write.

I'll go ahead and start working on getting rid of them but if anyone has any idea on what they could be that would be wonderful.

P.S: I accedentaly niked one of my plants and the fluid it excreted was red. Is that normal/ why is it red?

Okay, I've had a chance to inspect them further. They are def not bugs. So this doesn't really belong in this section anymore. Although if any of you have any idea what tiny gold/amber crystals are doing on the stem of 1 plant that would be cool.
