I have a bad fungus gnat infestation, they are eating my roots and my plants are going to shit.. i am not happy, THEY MUST DIE. they attacked my last grow, one person told me what it was but i was too focus'd on other issues with the grow and i dismissed it.

Will neem oil do the trick? how about adding sand to the top, ive heard that helps break the cycle.. they came in during the summer and stuck around. i REALLY want to be rid of these bugs, +rep for proper solutions.

I use safer sticky paper to catch my few fungas gnats.These pieces of yellow sticky paper let you know before your infested,you will see a few get stuck before total infestation occurs.I keep a few up even when Ive not seen any gnats.............peace

I grow indoors. I always get gnats. I use a product called "Mosquito Dunks". Dissolve 1 dunk per gallon water overnight and then water plant thoroughly. After watering cover with 1 inch dry sand. Use yellow sticky traps to catch mature gnats. I also use a pot or water with some dish detergent to catch those flyers that dont get caught on the sticky traps. I let the soil dry for 6 or 7 days or as long as I can almost to the point of stress to the plant.

That is what I do to stop gnats. My plant is always covered with sand throughout its entire lifespan...I remove it to water and replace it when I am done watering. Hope this helps and good luck.
