Default Spider mite vacuum
Thought I'd share this with you. We used these aspirators to collect insects in my entomology class. They're for stuff too small to be accurately caught with a net.

So you suck the bugs into a little jar with your mouth. A screen or filter is used so you don't end up eating the little batards. Then dispose of the nasties in any way you like. I'd pour rubbing alcohol in there and watch 'em drown, but it's your choice what to do with your new prisoners

This is easy as hell to make if you have time. Just get a small glass vial with a rubber stopper and make two holes which you fill with metal tubing. One hole is attached to a piece of inline tubing, which goes to your mouth, and the entrance should be blocked with fine nylon or other fine mesh.

Here's a cheap one, the screen is .06 mm wide (220 mesh). It should be enough to trap any mite before it gets in your mouth. About $12:

Here is a nicer one, with a filter that will pretty much catch anything:

Of course, this method shouldn't be used alone, but along with insecticides it can be used to take down some of your mite population...and relieve a little frustration!
