I'm having a similar gnat infestation. I've tried sand but the little b-tards are still propagating! It's becoming a huge nuisance and they are stressing my girls. I was wondering if I can hang a flytrap? My local hardware store has these flytraps that say "just add water" and "no killing agents" so I'm thinking it sounds safe. Any thoughts?

im having a similar issue and looking for a remedy as well,i thing my issue is fruit flies though.i have an adult bearded dragon in my bedroom with my grow closet.he eats fruit and veggies that attract fruit flies.some how the foung thier way into my garden and hang out around the soil in on my pots,i hung 3 sticky traps too and that isnt helping as they dont seem to fly that high.because they arnt soil knats or something like that i dont even know if they will harm my plants but i dont want to take the chance.im going to try the cinnamon thing and see what happens.i hope it will work.does any have any advice for fruit flies or any natural remedies to get rid of them?
