Default hot shot no pest strips

hey guys

i was wondering.. could you use hot shot no pest strips to prevent mites/gnats like put it in your grow room from day 1 24/7 or is that not safe, or should you put it at the first sign of them

answers wud be appreciated greatly!!

iv heard people using them al the way into week 5 of flowering
