Hey everyone,
I recentely got spidermites on my plants. Their not HORRIBLE but there is a decent amount. I COATED my plants in neem oil but hasn't seemed to do much. My plants are only on their third day into flower and I was wondering if its ok to use HotShots pest strips this early in flowering. I don't see any buds yet so I figure it couldn't be bad. I just wanted to be safe and ask though? And if I shouldn't use them, whats the best way to get rid of these suckers at this stage?

Ahhh....

Spray with 2 tbs of liquid seaweed, one tbs of molasess to 1 qt. of water. Spray plant(s) until soaking. This strenghtens the plants "bark" to the extent that the Mites can't chew into the plant anymore. Plus you plants will be a LOT more healthier.

I understand..., Here's what I want you to think about. Each Plant, and all animal life, like You & Me, has it's own Immunity System that, on it's on accord, fights off an array of pest & disease. When your Babies is not given the natural nutritions that they have thrived on for thousands of years, the Immunity System is weakened, which invites attacks to the weakest, most defensless plants. Had the Plants been given what She needs, there would be no SP. From 3 to 4 weeks of birth, molasess & seaweed should be afforded every 7 to 10 days. Your Babies will do very well. Give them meth/chemicals, you will always have problems.

Well that makes sense. Good tip for other grows as well. You can never have too healthy of a plant. Unfortunately I got the spider mites from a clone I bought at a dispensary. I learned my lesson on that one.

Tell the ignorant bastards about the seaweed shit. I don't give a fuck about smoking weed. I just like healthy things. If they need info, which they do, tell them to contact me. It's BS, selling sick plants. And believe me, spider mites only attack sick plants. Cool?

Well... I don't really have any contact information to give them but I do agree with you thats its fucked up. Its ridiculous they don't even know how to keep them out considering their running a medical dispensary. And I'll believe you that they only attack sick plants. I mean it makes sense. So are you saying to apply the seaweed and molasses on weeks 3 and 4 or, start then and keep applying from then on out?

Start now, & continue, every 7 to 10 days, until one week prior to harvest. Everybody will Rant & Rave about how good the weed taste.
