so i was looking around online for a better way to get rid of them. so i found one that said use rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl Alcohol) in a 1:1, 1:3 ratio (isopropyl to water) in a spray bottle. has anyone tried this? and if not whats your thoughts on it.

It does kill them. I've used 1:1 (70% strength iso). It won't hurt the eggs, so you'll have to keep doing it to get new hatchlings.
It's especially useful when flowering, because it evaporates very quickly... though, to be safe I try not to spray flowers too much.

I've tried to use a concoction of about 1:4 alcohol:water for my spider mites and it didn't work good. It reduced their numbers it seemed, but never really got rid of enough. I also tried this organic soap my mom uses even she said it would do the trick, but i could never get rid of them. I found this real good recipe(some old hippie told me) that was 1:4 alcohol/water, a dime drop of regular dish soap, and some chili powder,(i made a new one without the chili powder cuz it kept breakin the sprayers). That mixture w/o the chili powder did wonders for a bad whiteflies infestation. They were gone in a 2 days.bongsmilie:weed:

I used 50/50 water 99% alcohol. misted the plants two times a day for 3 days. also dabbed 100% alcohol on the egg sacks. haven't had mites since.

well i have good and bad news. well the bad news is when i went in to chek on the kids this morning my window ac unit iced over. so all my lights and fans where on and no cool air :( The temp in the room was 88 but the kids were 97, 99. i had to turn lights off and open tent doors. i finnaly got my ac unit thowed. but when i did get the temp back under control. i did my inspection for spider mites and well lots of them were gone. there eggs look shrivled up and dead. i did another full spray down, i even sprayed the pots and dirt. but i do have to say that i like this way better then neem oil. 2 it smells better in my thought

I'm glad it's working out - just keep up on it. You might be tempted to think that it's all clear at some point. When you reach that point... just keep going a bit longer to be safe.

1:1 rubbing alcohol means just spray plain rubbing alcohol on it? i'll google it before trying this. you saved me tho, my plants leaves are litterally COVERED with small orange not fully mature looking bug creatures. Cant wait to go genocide on them and see them in the afterlife, they'll understand ;)

well I hope it worked out well for you guys, I just sprayed mine with azamax, alcohol, and water. Pretty sure I got aphids. If they’re not dead tomorrow I might just stick to rubbing alcohol and water like you guys did and do it daily

It’s been a battle, but I haven’t seen any live ones since yesterday evening, going to finish my 3 sprays today and 3 more tomorrow and I feel that should do it. Looking forward to getting to baby my babies again because they are not looking the greatest going through all these treatments.
