Hey all. A couple of my outdoor plants have insect damage. There seems to be a lot of this particular insect on the plants. What do you guys think...friend or foe? Thanks

I was very unhappy to find the same bugs on my outdoor garden... With plenty of brown circles all over my leaves... Im lookin for a quick fix and have not gotten much help here so I did a search on my own. Maybe you will find this as helpful as i did http://www.canadiancountrywoman.com/...bugrecipes.php

my cucumber beetles look different. they eat the leaves leaving spots but they don't really do much to effect growth. it's nature, it all seems to balance.

A trick I use to keep pests out of my vegetable garden is to plant it near something that birds like to eat. Why? Because birds also like to eat bugs! When there are populations of birds nearby, there seem to be very few bugs. Just in my experience, anyway.

This year I planted my garden patch beside a couple of mulberry trees. The berries fall into the garden, so birds come to eat the berries and also gobble up the bugs while they're there. Makes for a lot of bird poop in the garden, but hey, it's free fertilizer, right?
