Ok all, so this obviously isn't the first or only thread about these little bastards... I got some clones and a mother from a grower buddy about 2-3 months ago, had a few spidermite problems with my clones but dipped them in neem and seemed to fix the problem, for a while...
Now the clones are in the flowering room and while I am not having much problems with them, yet, my mother plants is getting taken over by these little bastards!! I have a neem oil mix, a no pest strip in the room and I have Ed Rosenthals Zero Tolerance Pesticide which has cinammon and other oils in it, I have sprayed the mom 2x week for the past 2 weeks and I don't seem to be making any progress... It seems like specks of dirt but there is a lot on top of the leaves as well as under, are these possibly dead mites that fell off from above?? I just took some clones off of her for the next crop and I'm sure I'm gonna have problems with them too... Like I said, I also have a neem oil mix that I bought from the local garen store... I plan on dipping the clones in the neem mix before they are transplanted however since the mother is in the same room as them I'm sure the mites will simply crawl over to the clones and I'll never beat this problem... I have some bug bombs that have permithrum in them, can I close off all ventilation and bug bomb my house or will this harm my plants cuz some will probably enter the grow tent/cabinet even with vents closed... ![]() I was thinking I'd set off these bombs today, order a 1oz bottle of floramite and hopefully have by the end of week... How is floramite applied?? Via foliar spray or with nutes?? Also can I use the floramite on flowering plants or is that a no no??

If you bomb, remove any fish in the area. We didn't and killed ours.
If possible. maybe take the infested plant outside and spray it vigorously with hose. This will remove many mites, and their crap, and maybe give you a chance to get a good grip on the current situation. Whatever you do, you'll need to re-do in 2-3 weeks to get any fresh hatchlings.

thanks mr fishy... also, have you or anyone else ever heard of raising the co2 level in the room very high for a short period of time to suffocate all mites?? I read something about it one time but cannot recall the exact ppm it needs to be at or the duration it needs to be left there...
Can the floramite be used during flowering?? I'm already 4 weeks in so I imagine probably not... Luckily these plants in the grow cab are not having near the issues that the mother is having, I'll try maybe putting in the shower tonite but outside, prolly not happening with neighbors and such...

You need some Mite Destroyers. It is a predator bug that will eat your mites.
I have had Spider mites, I have had Fungal Gnats, and I have Thrips currently. Lets just say I have had more problems then most people. Honestly I have tried all types of oils, sprays, poisons, bombs, everything! What I have found to work the best is the most organic. Predator bugs! I let Asian beetles and spiders live in my garden and it is killing off my Thrips! You might have to get rid of all your plants. Bomb the shit out of your whole house and start from scratch. I got clones from some asshole with spider mites on it too. You know what I do now? I start from seed and make my own clones. . . .

If not, I'm with you, i'm gonna flwr the mother out along with this next crop, then BB entire house again, clean entire room with bleach, pull out carpet (yes carpet i know this is probably where mites are coming from), and start from scratch with seed and cloning for sex so there are no issues with a male stayin in the flowering room too long... Has anybody tried using 1-1 or 1-2 alcohol/water as a spray to kill the bastards??

ok for an update on the spidermite problem... i closed off all ventilation and bug bombed the house today... I sprayed the plant with 1:3 alcohol:water, let it sit for about 2 hours then took to bathroom and gave it a shower... I'm not too sure how much it liked this as I had a little more pressure than I thought and it tossed and twisted the branches and leaves around... but I'm sure that will all work itself out if I can just get rid of these damn spidermites...
still wondering if anybody knows the amount of co2 I'd need to put in my space to kill all spidermites in the flowering room i have a co2 setup but just dont know the ppm that is safe for plants but will kill bugs... I'm just starting week 4 and probably can get away with spraying one more time but the co2 idea would be great if i knew how much to put... also,if i had to would spraying the flowering plants with the alcohol solution mess up the buds??? I think i remember something about alcohol degrading thc or something?? If so I'll just try ed rosenthals zero tolerance although it hasn't worked yet i dunno why it would work now...

Sorry . . . no idea on the co2. Obviously anyone showering their plants needs to somehow concentrate their efforts on the leaf undersides, where the mites party.
Mites hate moisture and even high rH helps deter them. Not so sure they hang out in carpets . . . I believe they ride the wind into your life, or hitch a ride inside on pets, clothing, etc. One thing for sure . . . they suck (literally!)
