I'm going through the same exact problem as you - see my Spider Mite thread, it shows what I've done and used. I came to the same conclusion as you and ordered Floramite..I'm hoping mine will arrive soon, as well. I guess we'll both keep our fingers crossed and hope it's a miracle product. Keep me updated how your last procedure with alcohol, water, and a shower turned out? The only thing I did different was give ONE of my plants as a tester a dip in a 3in1 Insecticide with pyrethrens. Mine became infected because my girlfriend is an orchid freak and brings new orchids in everyday and is wreckless. Unfortuately my shit is in my living room so bombing my house would end up killing my cat. Might be worth it though?

Can't you move your cat to outside of the house in a cage or cat carrier? That's what I do. . . .

Just get some predator bugs!

Just wipe underside of leaves with rubbing alcohol applied on qtips. It's a vicious cycle fighting those lil bastards. Those eggs left lying around are often neglected....thus the cycle begins again and again.

last nght (daytime for plants) i noticed lots of tiny (like a sugar grain appx?) white bugs crawling on the glass around my lights!! i guess the borg are white to tan when they are born?? I knew the eggs were whitish but these were crawling around and there were some webbish things hanging down so i'm sure they are spidermites as well!!! NOT GOOD... these plants are in week 4 of flowering... would it be safe to sprays these with alcohol still?? i hear alcohol would degrade the thc, anybody know??? If i cant use the alcohol spray again i'll just use the zero tolerance b/c its safe up until 2 wks b4 harvest, but hasnt worked well so far...

Be careful if you suffocate them with CO2. It's toxic to humans in high percentages. Not killing the fish & cats is all fine and dandy... killing yourself would put you in the running for the Darwin Awards.

Ok so I finally have all the problems in my mother/veg room worked out, i sprayed 1:3 alcohol:h2o on them 3 times in 5 days and the problem has subsided to a manageable level for now, until i get my floramite in the mail tomorrow hopefully....

My question is this, if the alcohol/water mix worked on the vegging plants/mthr it would obviously work in the flowring room too but, will this harm the crystals i have all over???

If nobody knows for sure i guess i'm gonna' have to be the one to take one for the team and find out... I need to figure something out soon though, i'm noticing webbing in many places now and don't want them to take down my crop, an dont really want to be smoking mite either, lol... Somebody know about this?? NEbody???

I read quite a bit about people having success with CO2, particularly large commercial operations, when I first had a mite infestation. I tested it in a 4x2x4 on some plants in a sealed grow crate and it didn't work for me. If I recall correctly, I took it up to 10k PPM and set a cycle timer to inject for 1 minute every five minutes which was a higher concentration and duration than what I had read would work. I think the tank is a 35 pounder, not sure though, its like what they use in bars, but I emptied it and they did not die.

No pest strips were the only true cure that I found but it isnt necessarily 100% effective and though I was mite free for over a year, I think I have managed to get some resistant ones going. It sounds like you have the right approach going though, which is using multiple types of treatments. That was probably my mistake with this recent outbreak, if I had started out using more than just the pest strips so there was almost no chance of resistance building I would probably be mite free now.

Some flea & tick shampoos have Pyrethrin in them; since spidermites hate liquid soap and Pyrethrin, maybe it would work to get rid of them on plants? It doesn't hurt dogs, cats, humans so it's probably pretty safe to use. I'm not talking about actually shampooing your plants, but maybe mix a few drops with water in a spray bottle.

fkn a man thats a great idea... i went to the drugstore (not really dope, pharmacy) and looked for lice spray b/c it is pyrethrin based but it only had a can of spray with a bottle of shampoo in a pack, but I think you're onto something with the shampoo idea there bro, thanx...

i could buy this pack and be able to try both ways, and i bet ur right, just a few drops in a squirt bottle mite just be tha shit i need... i'm gonna try and get this going on later today..

I have been having pretty good success with the 1/2 alcohol 1/2 h20 btw in case anybody else is dealing w/ the borg currently.... I have got floramite on order and still waiting for it, hoping for tomorrow but i will keep posting itt until they are eradicated, stay tuned...
