I use 3 parts MG Moisture Control soil, 1 part vermiculite, 1 part worm castings, and I can't imagine a better grow medium. I don't believe you can overwater this soil ...it absorbs what I think is the exact amount the plant needs. Besides, I live in an apartment and I didn't want a shipment from Fox Farms to show up at the front office, and I can get MG at any Home Depot.
MG seedling starter is good for marijuana seedling growth but the other shit is way to high in nutritents and will most likely give you a really shitty plant. Also note almost all MG soils dont activate there nutritents until they are watered and then the nutritents get activated.. An awesome soil that you should try is PROMIX its cheap and in my opinion works just as good as fox farm soils if not better. If that is MG you are growing in I can tell you rightnow thats nutritent burn. Like I said almost every type of MG soil is too strong for seedlings.

Hi John, I can tell you that I have 5 different strains going in the MG-based formula I outlined above and they are the healthiest plants I have ever seen. At no time during the seedling, veg or flowering stages have they had as much as one leaf that looked yellow or unhealthy. Bob
The moisture control is one of the good ones I think its the same as the MG seedling starter correct me if I am wrong. I have nothing against MG soils I have found and alot of others on this form have found that most MG soils are to strong for seedlings. Great mix you have there as well RobertInAZ soils with a mix of worm castings work amazing. I think The promix soil works great it has worm castings, limestone, perlite and one other ingredient I forget what it is called cuz I dont have my bag off hand. You should give this a try one time see how it goes for ya. Take care guys.
I think some of your problem is the moisture control soil as well as the case of nute- burn. I used it with shitty results and I have seen similar stories from other people. You should try the MG organic choice that is meant for container gardening. I get mine at lowes. If you look at my journal you can see that they are healthy and bushy. what do you temps avg?
I tend to get fungus gnats whenever I bring MG into my garden.
