anyway i've got a hygrometer for curing so mold will hopefully never be an issue in curing. just got some normal sized mason jars. i'll update later when i have a final dry weight and a smoke report ))))))))

You're going to jar pot that green still? Might suggest you read more and not screw up your bud. That is if your times you state are correct. Pot needs to be dried slowly to avoid THC degradation. A week to 10 days in a cool dry place slowly drying. Then jar it and do that correctly with opening etc. You'll be glad later you did, have mold if you don't.

i have a digital humidity monitor and i've done my share of reading about drying. if i get above about 70% rh in the jars i'll pull them out and let them dry right. regardless, i wont put them in before the outsides are crisp and the stems almost snap like everyone says. i hope you know that it doesn't always take 10 days to get to the level of dryness you need before you start curing. overdryed bud is the worst scenario as the curing process can't start again once the flower has reached a certain point of dryness. i do my shit right if you couldn't tell by those bud pics.

i vegged under cfl's in a personal soil mix for about 9 weeks then flowered for 8 1/2 weeks under 2 150watt hps ballasts with some extra cfls for underlighting and whatnot. i have a continuous operation of about 7-9 plants right now that i start from seed in pairs so i get 2 new plants about 3-4 weeks. just for my girlfriend and my use really, plus a little to sell on the side.

also i don't know really if this was clear but this is just the top half of my first plant. the bottom half of the buds are still in my flower room developing nicely

as long as your humidity isn't super low where you dry them (flowers will dry out much more quickly relative to the stems) i think it's really just a matter of personal preference. on the plus side, if you wait until the stems snap to jar you probably will never have a very high risk of mold. on the negative side you might overdry the bud and not let it cure as long or as well as it should.

tl;dr- if you have a system that works don't change it
