Good news and bad news.
First, the good news, my second Blackstar 240w flowering model arrived today so I can now switch to flowering cycle. Tomorrow will officially be Day 1 since the lights will turn off at 8:00 AM. I had to take Kaya Gold out of the tent and will flower her in the closet next to the tent. I will buy another tent or come up with something light proof to put her in shortly but this will have to do for now. Also, I will have to flower Kaya Gold under the Blackstar Veg model because thatís all I have to work with at the moment. I know this will be much better for Master Kush and Delahaze in the long run which I think will end up being the better smoke. They will love growing into the extra space during the next 8-9 weeks.
This brings me to the bad news which is that when I took down the new veg model I bought a month ago I noticed the middle UV (I think) burned out. Itís turned black or very dark brown and it looks like the glass has a burn mark on it. I tried to take pics but Iím no photog and my old digi sucks. See below. Iíve seen this issue reported by a few others in the threads here on RIU and Iím assuming Gotham Hydro will take care of this issue under warranty. I will be firing an email over to them shortly and will post their response.
The girls looked thirsty today so I fed those bitches 56oz water with 4ml Liquid Karma each. Iím seeing some cool stuff looking up close but my camera sucks too bad to get good shots. Delahaze has some frosty purple stems and is showing signs of pistols already. I trimmed her a little bit on the bottom, stuff that had not hope of getting light and was mostly a weird gold/brown color anyway. Same with Master Kush. Kaya Gold is another story, itís a forest under there and Iím staying away from trimming for now. Donít wanna noob it.
Well, hereís some pics of how they are looking now. The fun part has finally come, excited to see them in bloom over the next couple months.
Master Kush and Delahaze without their friend Kaya Gold. Enjoying the new lights.
