I’m trying to figure out how I can get more yield than a couple of ounces out of my grow setup, here are the details:

Grow room: closet 2’d x 3’w (I have more space olny using half the closet) x 4’h (height is due to hanger rod)
Light: 600 watt HPS (switchable)
Nutrients: Cutting Edge Solution 3 part & Advanced Nutrients Big Bud
Exhale bag co2 (about 3/4mo used)

Also, which type of setup will work the best for that size. I like hydroponics but I am playing with Roots Organic Mix and looking into Sunshine Advanced Mix #4.

LST them and Veg for 8 weeks. Also noticed you didn't lollipop them. If you cut off the bottom growth it gives more energy to the top ones that really give you what you want. It's annoying having to trim those popcorn nugs anyways and I wouldn't leave it there just for extra sugar trim.

So you have 6 ftsq but enough lighting for about 9 ftsq. You should be able to get around 300 grams.

MrZogs Has an important point. The lower 1/3 of the plant will not get good enough light to produce good dense, trimable bud. If you get rid of all the bud sites on the lower 1/3 of the plants the weight will end up on the top nugs maybe even with a little bonus weight.

Personally I dont like cutting edge but plenty of my buddies use it and get great yields. So your ok there. Roots is good stuff ( i have used the 707 mix many times) but can a little hot for starts, you may find you have to add perlite or something for starts depending on the strain, by the way what strain?

YOU NEED TO FILL YOUR LIGHT FOOTPRINT!! Sorry about the caps there but that how you will get good grams/watt!

4 weeks is a good veg time. You don't need to add to your veg time to get the yields you desire. I would put 6-8 plants in that closet. You could grow say, 4 big plants but then you have longer veg time thus less runs per year so a lower annual yield even though you may have the same grams/watt at harvest plus more electricity for veg.

Your light could be a few inches lower, only a few.

Maybe a 2x3 flood table with square perfect pots for that space.

My buddies and I have determined a little rule of thumb for determining yeilds. with a soild strain, 0.75oz/plant/week of veg. More like 1oz per plant per week veg with a good Areo or Hydro setup. This is for 1000watt lights though.

When you say "lollipop" it, do you mean to leave the branch and just trim off the lower stuff?

Thats what he means. The term is a little deceiving. So, you know how a cola is basically composed of many nugs that have grown together. Ok each "nug" grows from a node, when the inter-nodal space is tight enough you get a cola. If you are looking at the end of a top branch you will see that there is very tight inter-nodal spacing, as you look further down the branch the spacing increases. I like to leave 5 or so nodes, not counting the end of the branch where the spacing is almost to tight to count. A more simplistic guideline would be to remove the lower third nodes on each branch as well as any buds on the lower third of the entire plant. Doing this is pretty much always to your benefit but the effusiveness varies with the strain and the way you are gowning it. With sea of green screen of green whatever you can go extreme with it. Conversely outdoors where the lighting is so awesome you can leave the lowers and they will still nug up.
