This may be a dumb question, but does anyone know what the little balls with spikes on the end are? Will these eventually get the little ball on the tip like the rest have? Also - I have NO IDEA what the pink thing is. I found at least one on all 3 leaves I clipped! Is it a weird genetic thing, or something floating around my room getting stuck to the plant? Who knows? I did hit one leaf with a quick shot of duster, and it didn't remove whatever the pink shit was. I can't see it with my bare eyes either. I am not worried about it, just curious. Also - I know it's not harvest time yet... Just curious as to what mine looked like.

    This might sound dumb, and if so, I'm sorry in advance. Am I only supposed to look at the larger, penis shaped trich's - or do I look at all the really tiny little white looking bumps too?

    yep those are trichomes they start out as a spike then get the ball,its actually called a capitated trichome ,those are the ones you want ,as far as the pink shit,it seems it just the way those lights on those microsopes are reflecting on some of the trichs ,those lights are usually a little on the blue/white side of the spectrum,the "penis" ones are the older trichs,so pay attention to them,make sure you get a lot of capitated milky ones,some amber too,the spikey ones are premature and will give you a fuckin headache from hell if theres alot of them,the more amber the more of a couchlock type/narcotic buzz........

    next run check your trichomes before they are close to being done and you can see as they change while they ripen up,also I seem to get alot more trichomes when im using fulvic acid with my nutes,Bud candy is great for that,carbs,fulvic acid,b vitamins

    Cool thanks superjoint. I wish I would have bought the microscope much earlier. I'll definitely check all the way thru next grow to get an idea how quickly they progress, and their different stages. Thanks again man.
