It was a scary night, but we got through it. NL#1 seed leaves were drooping badly. It turned out to be the humidity was too high. 80%. I took off the dome and put her closer to the light and she made a full recovery!

NL#2 Had the seed shell still attached even after standing straight up. I didn't want the seed leaves to die, so I very VERY gently took my nail and LIGHTLY pryed it apart. HUZZAH! The seed leaves stayed on!

Later on I had to peel off some clear skin on the NL #2 and then she popped open. Phew.

The soil was getting dry. I needed to water and figured I'd put my fert and Ph kit to work. Good thing I bought that Ph kit, cus even with 1/4 dose the ph was 4.0 ! Bye bye seedlings!

All was well tho, and the ph was set to just above 5.5

btw you can tell i made a ton of fert water.. fear not! it was at 1/4 dose and i only used 50ml per plant. The other 850 ml went into my tomato plant.

I'm glad you got everything under control.

I got a chuckle from the first sentence. It reminded me of these Lovecraft stories I'm reading.

    Subbed.

Good job! You don't (probably shouldn't) take off the seed shell or skin or whatever; they'll come off just fine. Patience is the best word I have ever HAD to learn.
Man I'm glad you got it under control. No nutes on seedlings for the first week at least depending on what they are in if anything at all. Some plugs like Rapid Rooters actually have mild nutrients and a seedling wouldn't require any fert's for 2-3 weeks. But for the most part, fertilizers that early will most likely kill them, at the least, stunt their growth.
Check out around here. Do some searches to find out the steps you need to take in order for the highest (no pun of course) return on your addiction. And it is an addiction indeed!
    THIS IS ALL IMHO, thx
Kron... was that Lovecraft as in H.P. ?
