I am just wondering if it's even possible that they might be okay, or since all the original leaves have died, they just are not gonna make it ? Also about how long will it take before I start to see roots if they are going to root ? Thanks any and all advice is greatly appreciated .

These took two and a half weeks.

The thicker the stem - generally the longer it takes to get good roots going.
Mine were about 1/4" diameter where I cut them off as tops.

Your medium may already be growing roots; it's been my experience that when new growth starts on a clone the nubs are going well down below.
    Good luck.
