Update: 2 plants are doing great and growing vigorously, 1 plant got alittle over-fertilized which slowed growth. This plant has been flushed and is recovering. This is week 3 of flower.
How do you like LST growing? I always grow mine straight up and cut off the bottom 2/3rds so the 18" at top will get all the energy but I end up with 5' tall plants. I only average 1 ounce per plant. Couple Q's: 1) Whats your average yield per plant dry? 2) How many tops do they normally end up with? 3) How long does it take to veg them so they are nice and full before flipping them to 12/12? ........................................Thank You for answering all 3 q's. Ive been interested in this method for a long time.........................................
Well, I'm still learning with LST, but it seems to be very effective at increasing yield. The last plant, that I grew out, yielded about 3 1/2 ozs dried and cured....but that plant was a freak lol. It was Samsara's Sweet Black Angel, grown 12/12 fs...it was LST'd because it stretched, to the extreme, in flower..and it grew huge...44inches tall, and that was with LST. My yields vary with each grow but I always get more than 1oz per plant. You should def try LST. I try not to trim too much off the bottom of my plants...with LST they are encouraged to catch up and even the bottom most branch has yielded big nugs, for me. As a matter of fact, these bb plants all have bottom branches that are now tops. I'll try to get a few pics. The number of tops always varies. I always try for at least 4. The length of veg time varies as well..like I said I have LST'd 12/12 fs plants even. Sativa dominant plants veg quicker, in my opinion, so they need less veg and training time. It can take a few months to veg and train an indica dominant plant, into a nice bush. I advise you to try a run with LST...you will never go back to lolli-popping again...2/3rds of your plant can equal 2/3rds of your yield gone.
good info thanks
