O.K. Here goes nothing...
first The idea was to test Aloe to see if it is viable to use for cloning.
enter "The Mommy" A Gods Gift (99.9% sure thats what it is anyways)
The supplies...
I like the CowPots, however these are a generic kind from my local farmers union. I only had 4 so I am going to use the 2 oddball cups for S&G. I am only testing for rooting viability. I wont even grow these out, probly give em away to a couple friends.
Now entering... hailing from...(not gonna tell ya) wieghing in at a whopping 1/10th of a gram..... "The Contenders"
I am a fan of the cut stem method, slicing up the stem to create a little more surface area and to expose the cutting for faster root generation.(still hearsay, but figure it cant hurt).
Two were dipped in Clonex gel, two in Aloe Vera (fresh cut off the plant), and two have no agent on them at all, just stuck in the promix/perlite.All watered with tap water (town water Ph right about 7, PPM should be around 35 +/-, with a drop of Superthrive added. Now under a 4' T8 2 bulb light. They wont get any nutes until I feel they need it. then it will be 1/4 strength DynaGro Grow. I may even dilute that, just depends on what my intuition tells me.
So thats that, I will baby them as far as moisture goes, it is colder than I would like in their spot, but is what it is. I expect them to take a couple of weeks to build any decent roots, mainly because of the temps im dealing with. if I can score a heater for them I will.
So stay tuned, no guarantee it will be same bat time.....
A no change update....
