
Yes, distilled gives me the best control of what I feed the plant's, I will be investing in a RO system soon but for now distilled is much better than my city water at 8.3ph and over 400ppm. With organics, I also do not want to kill of or harm my bio active soil bennies, so I stay away from city water which has tons of chorine, and chloramine's in it...as well as tons of calciums and other salts that I have no idea in what amounts are present...
Yes, I water at 4.3 or whatever the nutrient solution is at...I am running completely organic soil as well as nutrients and with plenty of added bennies (Mycos Maximum), no need to adjust ph because my soil does it for me... I checked my ph today, one day after feeding and it is sitting right at 6.5-6.7. I also add humic and fulvic acid which are natural chelates, as well as molassases which also acts as a chelate. Chelation basicly open's the "window" of absorbance of macro and micro nutrients in the soil... It allows the plant to uptake outside of the PH soil charts that you see posted on these forums.. That is the basic answer to the question...
