I am using cfl,s one bulb says light output 3,400 lumens energy used is 65 watts incandescent equivalent is 300 watts daylight color 6500 Kelvin and it says daylite on the box the other light is 4,200 lumens 68 watts also a 300 equivalent and it says soft white at 2700 Kelvin I have them in a round reflector with a two light bulb adapter so both bulbs in one reflector the room is 18"x18" and 8 feet high is this good enough for my lighting needs or do I need more or less

It depends on what method you're using with it. It will definitely work for a single small plant. Maybe even a couple plants running 12/12 from seed. You have a nice mixed spectrum and it should work nicely for a 2.25 square foot spot. The 8 foot height clearance will not be need since you are going to be keeping the lights as close as possible and I wouldn't veg over 14-18 inches tall. Try to get a few smaller 23-26 watt cfls for side lighting.

Thank you for your info I can't believe I only have one reply come on people I thought this was the site to go to for different info. Isn't 14-18 inches a little tall won't that result in a almost 4 foot plant I only want them about 3 feet at the most and which nod should I start pruning it the third or fourth I only want about 4 colos each plant cut off all side branches not much room for busy plants but I guess I can grow straight up and have 4 foot plants so forget what I said about 3 feet what is I veg straight up till there 24 inches would I be able to get there just with top lights if everything is on top I don't have room for side lights. Thanks for listening how ever replys come on people I see 10 page long threads where are my answers

Usually people dont reply until some bud porn is posted. Stick it out and you will get some replies. As for height, the general rule of thumb would be to veg until your plants are half the size you want them vertical-wise. Veg to 24 inches and you will end up somewhere around 40-48 inches come harvest time, and sometimes they turn out even shorter, depending upon what strain you are growing.. As for the 4 cola thing, there are a few ways to do that. You can LST (low stress train) and you will get as many colas as you have side branches. Or you could super crop it 2 times and you will end up with 4 colas. Each time you crop it, you create 2 "heads" or "colas". Plants will take all the cropping you give them as long as you allow them time to heal and re-generate the tops. Just have to make sure to use some sort of staff or stick to support the colas when they get a bit heavy. Feel free to ask anything else you need help with. Thats what I'm, here for Good luck amigo!

Some people prefer one spectrum for veg and one for flower but others like a mixed spectrum. Personally I veg under a T5 HO setup and I use ALL 6500K bulbs. 2700K bulbs would work too but they would promote stretching which is unwanted. I would Veg under nothing but 6500K and Flower under 2700K but thats just me. You could actually get away with vegging or flowering with improper bulbs but you would not be growing the lady to her full potential. You would have quite a significant decrease in quality and quantity if using improper bulbs but it would produce results nonetheless.

As for the nutes, I never tried any of those. I was using Fox Farms Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom but I recently bought Advanced Nutrients new Jungle Juice line that is supposed to be an exact clone of GH's Flora series 3 part as well as Big Bud from Advanced Nutrients as a bud sweller/flavor enhancer. Haven't used them yet but I will be testing them out on my next grow in a couple weeks. Ocean Forest has all the goodies your plants need to thrive for quite awhile. I've done a grow without any nutes at all aside from the nutes in the Ocean Forest and it worked out pretty well all the way to harvest. Ocean Forest is an amazing soil. I would just keep doing what you're doing as long as your plants continue to look healthy. I'm sure someone else will have more information than me about that topic though.

I'm not sure what you mean by plants on 10/12. Did you mean to say 12/12? or 10/14? The fool proof method to use would be as follows:

Veg: 16/8 or 18/6 or 20/4 or 24/0 (just don't go below 14-16 hours of light. It will trigger flowering for sure.)
    Flower: 12/12

Personally I veg using 24 hours of light and then flip over to 12/12 when I'm ready to see some sexy female parts

Also, I will be popping a G13 labs Pineapple Express fem seed in a few days. Can't wait until a few months from now to try it out I wonder how similar G13's PE is to your PK? What seed company is PK from?

Ya I must have messed up I go 18/6 veg and 12/12 flower so I will have to get that other 6500k bulb and use the two 6500k bulbs going to home depot to see if I can make something with the bulb extenders and that two bulb splitter I bet I could figure something out where I can use four lights on top just sucks I can't get any side lite can I use the cfl's that say daylight for the sides they only have 1750 lumens but would one on each side help I don't now what the Kelvin is doesn't say got them at home depot what is more important do you think wattage,Kelvin, or lumens and the pkush I bought so don't now where was grown so it may not even be that actual strain but what ever strain it is one of the fruitiest smells I have ever encountered and aim 43 and been smoking for about 28 years and my sperm counts still good just had a girl last year don't you love the lies about maryjane like I said I would rather have my kids smoke instead of drinking that's my opion thanks again man what ever info you have is greatly needed just got into the grow thing last year so thank you very much

Now I no what I meant by 10 each night at ten o'clock pm I rotate the plant so each plant is under the different light aim using so one night one plant is under the 2700k and the other under the 6500k and vise a versa but both plants are side by side so I guess they still get the same light bounced off them I have foil on the sides to bounce light I don't no how much bounces but just want them to get equal time under each bulb so that's why I wanted two now if that's ok to do or just use the two 6500k well just refer to previous tread thanks

And the other 10/12 was the day I planted the seeds. I germed them first in a paper towel, then I planted them in the soil on 10/12/2011 sorry for the confusion told you good shit have to get more but so much money power to the grower
