Durban Poison - Day 87 - Harvest!

Last night I scoped the tricomes and they were about 80% milky and 20% clear. It's kind of hard to tell when you look at it but it was mostly milky. There's lots of opinions when to harvest so... the first time you don't really know when to do it. I grew this plant because I wanted to experience a pure sativa head-high because I've never had that before, only indy and hybrids. I read that when the trics are milky that is when you'll get most of the strain's natural effect. But of course I would test some first to see what's up before I chop it.
So I pinched a weak lower branch to test the bud. There was 4.5 oz of fresh untrimmed bud and I put it in a food dehydrator to quick dry. 4 hours later it came out of the dehydrator weighing 1.5 oz total but was still a little bit damp in the middle, so it probably would be 1oz or less fully dried. This was just to test to see if I wanted to harvest yet so no big deal but I am keeping track of my yield.
My friend and I each vaped about half of the bud. We couldn't feel much at first... maybe just a little buzzed so, we kept hitting it. After 20 minutes we were pretty buzzed and I took a few more hits. Pretty soon I started tripping balls completely out of my mind like an acid trip. We both had really strong body buzz and it was hard to keep our balance, but I also had a lot of mental hallucination... not seeing shit wasn't there or anything just had a lot going on in my mind's eye, everything felt like a dream and reality felt like a memory. It was good but damn... pretty intense. The crazy shit lasted about 2 hours... I'd probably take less so I can at least do some chores or do something next time. This shit is ready to harvest!
This was a hermi so I got some seeds too. Because the lower branches have the most seeds two seeds fell out of the test buds I vaped last night.
They are nice and dark. More seeds still on the vine here...
I wanted to see the roots after the chop.......
So now it's drying and I'll be doing one more post when it's all dry with the final yield.![]()
