[COLOR=#333333][FONT=Verdana]1) I created a Dodo account, placed a pipe in my shopping cart, and sent a question about an ash catcher.

2) Next day, no answer to question, no pipe in shopping cart.

3) Put same pipe back in shopping cart ($69), added ash catcher ($39), ordered... total $126.54.

4) Package arrives, pipe only, no ash catcher. I go into my account and it shows one order for $126, I figure the ac was shipped separately. It's my birthday, so they pipe is used once... notice there is an interior hairline crack in the lip, no big deal, but definitely arrived with small defect.

5) I notice there are two charges on my cc, one for $126 and one for $89. Go into my dodo account, only one ($126) order showing as processed.

6) Contact Dodo about the double charge, they assure me only one order was processed and the $89 (temporary) charge will disappear in three days.

7) Second package mysteriously arrives with complete order (pipe & ac), I contact dodo about returning the unsolicited first order.

:cool:They refuse to offer an RNA (prepaid return slip) because it was "my fault" (I should have refused the delivery before opening-like I was expecting the extra order). They agree to refund purchase price if I pay to ship it back at my cost.

9) I pay an additional $15 to insure and return it to them with all original documentation.

10) They inform me they will not refund because the product "is used" (once and meticulously cleaned)!!

11) I ask about defective product (small interior crack in lip) refund, they say reported too late, sorry no refund!!

12) So I figure, they will send the pipe back and maybe I can salvage a few bucks by discounting it to a friend.

13) NOPE, they refuse to return the pipe to me even though I have paid for it (plus double back & forth postage & ins).

13) Bottom line, they charge me for an order that to this day has never appeared as an order in my account, refuse RNA, refuse a refund, ask for the pipe to be returned, and keep the pipe... crazy logic!

My advice: AVOID DODO GLASS AT ALL COSTS, OR IT WILL COST YOU!!:fire:[/SIZE][/FONT][/COLOR]

    You said you paid with a card? so call the bank and file a charge back on them. That WILL get their attention.

    The firstt one you dispute as being not as described, you've shipped it back - you win. The second one you dispute as unauthorized and since it's a secondary charge, again you win. You'll get ALL your money back (excluding return shipping costs) and they get stuck with that broken pipe plus processing fee.

    heres what you do,

    you send them a short email telling them if they do not offer you restitution for this illigal busness practitces immidiatly you will report them to the BBB & the theft and fraud department of your bank. Also tell them you will consider filing a complaint with the internet fraud department at the FBI.

    These fools done fucked up

    I just looked at their terms of sale..Confusing...It looks like they used a legal jargon generator..(they put in their business name and a few other little bits of info and a program writes up their terms for them...). These are meant to be draft only...

    Good news for you though, as long as you were within 15 days to tell them, you followed their protocols and will be backed up by the trade bureau etc..

    You can recover your money if you are willing to do a little..I know you shouldnt have to but man they are assholes....

    they sound like dicks. utterly and totally illageal.

    as said, just write a polite email and drop a couple of names years back i used to buy computer bits and pieces on a daily basis for various reasons and projects, and had to go through many small companies, who often acted jsut as you've experienced. every single time i dropped the term "trading standards watchdog" into an email, well let's jsut say it's as if there was enver a problem in the world. more often than not they'd never reply but mysteriously all the bank charges would dissapear and packages would turn up at my doorstep.

    Wow, I am blown away by all of your support and suggestions (which will defintely be brought to satisfactory fruition)... I will extract my ounce of flesh from these poseurs, one way or another.

    I reported them to Chase Sapphire's (cc holder) legal division today, and they were confident of full refund including postage... sweet!

    Are you aware of other 420 sites that would be appropriate to warn against this enterprise?

    Hi guys I saw this awsome peice at dodo glass and wanted it real bad but then i saw this when i researched the company before I purchased.

    Anyway i took the risk and purchased it and a day or 2 later it shows it has shipped with tracking number so, so far so good, ive been a member here for a long time, even longer than what my join date says. Ill confirm next week if my order was filled well once i get the package.

    seems to be an up & up company so far tho,

    well guys I recieved my piece all in one peice and needless to say this thing is the baddest ass pipe I ever purchased pretty big infact if it was any bigger it would be too big.

    looks like dodo pipes is back in action, order away they shipped it within the second day of ordering

    It's amazing how high those fuckwads will jump when the BBB is telling them to...THat kind of thing has happened to me before. you just have to be astute, concise, and slightly agitated, yet polite....they'll kiss that ass bro...watch...haha
