Good day to all! New grower here, & newbie at Rollitup. I'm a marijuana loving, & economically troubled college student. Lol. & I've thought about growing for a long time but finally have a good space of my own to grow in. I'm going to try to grow 2 plants hoping that one, maybe both are female. Although I'm really only trying to focus on one plant reaching maturity to where i can get buds.

Currently I have 1 germinated seed in FOX FARM soil inside a cup under a 20w soft white CFL. It has not yet sprouted since I just planted it last night. I've read posts by people who have grown 1 full plant from start to finish with only a 13w CFL so it makes me feel better that i have an additional 42w CFL ready to light up my 2 babies. Bringing total wattage to 62w.

On my next paycheck i'll probably look into getting a few more bulbs with more of a blue spectrum for vegging.

Anyways, Just introducing myself to the community.. I'll post pics when i start to see green

Now, to roll one up..

i would go to home depot and get 2 goose neck lamps and 2 y splitters and that way you can get 2 42 watt bulbs in each and then you have double the light and also make sure you get white posterboard to put around the room to reflect light and and a fan to keep airflow and if u want enough bud u need good light

Thanks guys. I woke up to a sprouted plant!

It's about an inch out of the soil. I had the cup covered in saran wrap dome to keep in the humidity. Should I take off the plastic now & give it more light? (exchange 20w for 42w) or just leave it with the 20w for now?

leave it on for now. the seedling has to get used to the lower humidity in the room. leave it on untill it stands all the way up.
