Excuse my poor photography, batteries are low and could only take a few. Also the camera sucks in general.
It's been a while, actually I haven't updated this since I started this one out, so just to let you know she's still kicking, here's some pics and stuff.
I think at first I kept the light a little too close for comfort, you can probably see the slight discoloration of some of the older fan leaves, the one with 3 instead of 5. It looked like the chlorophil was starting to go, so I backed it off, in the pic it's pulled away another inch or so to take the pic, it's normally right next to it but not leaning like before. You can't tell but above that is my square led panel that I used on my last attempt, you know, this guy...and of course my ceiling light, which has a cfl bulb in there, every little bit counts right?
Anyhoo, from what I read I should be able to determine it's sex sometime soon, but I don't have a magnifying glass, so I'll have to wait for the signs to be more obvious. I'm not worried though, they are feminized seeds and it said in the description it's stable and "hermaphrodie-free" so the odds are good at least. And every day it seems this thing gets bigger, an example, three days ago the oldest fan leaves just barely reached the sides of the bucket, then suddenly they were pressing against it, and the 5 finger leaves were on their way to the side, now one of them is peeking over the edge too, and the other side is almost there. I used to be able to give them darkness by simply covering the bucket with something I have, But soon I'll need a whole new way to get them some sleep. or I could try going 24 from here, I've had them on a wobbly 18/6 for a while, I'll let them decide, if it slows down or looks sad I'll give them some sleep somehow. Or if I can correct my sleep cycle long enough, just use natural darkness, but i watch alot of tv so that could be hard. Enough about me, the plant smells pretty good for not being far into flowering, I remember the male smelled alright too for a while, even in veg. anyway, I'll wrap this up. I should be harvesting this around the 4th of july, if the estimates are correct, UNLESS it looks like it wants more time, because if she can grow bigger, by all means I'm going to let her. This will be my first harvest after all, I want to remember it, before I forget, lol.
