Lights and Fan-
Well, I was able to set up my new light fixture last night. It's got two 55w and two 42w bulbs. My bubble bucket girl seems to love it! It's growth has taken off with the first set of 3 leaves starting to grow quickly- but it may just be the nutes too. I want to use one of those set-ups for each bucket. Would that be too much? It's a small space and got really warm, but I bought a fan today and it cooled down pretty quickly. I'll have to see if it actually keeps it cool. I heard if I put wet towels in there, it'll produce humidity and help cool it down- is that true/good for the plant? Well, I may just make another light set-up like the 4-way then make a 2-way set-up and put it in the middle because the one in the middle will be getting light off the other two. Make any sense?

I still need to put the other 2 plants into their buckets, of course. But I need to figure out what's the best thing for lights/heat. I still need to get a couple air stones and air pump(s) for the buckets. So as soon as I figure out the light situation and get paid, I'm going to finish my set-up.

What do you think so far? What's your opinion about the lights- more than just "Shove as many as possible in there!" haha If you want to, give me any tips, tricks, and criticism- it all helps.

Looks ok to me, I would bring the fan closer to strengthen the stems, unless that is a very powerful fan???
In your first photo, (the plant with 3 lights) seems your lights are not directly on the plant.
I have my lights directly over my plants. The more light, faster the grow.
What type of ventilation do you have in that room?

The fan is strong enough. I believe the plants just need a gentle breeze- it's not like they are conditioned to be in hurricane force winds. If I turn my fan on the high setting it will blow the babies over! lol The light fixture has 4 lights. The plant is right in the middle of them all receiving light on all sides. The day after I put the baby under it, the baby's first set of 3 stage leaves began to grow rapidly unlike the other two. It's either the light or the nutes or both. The fan is the ventilation I have in the room as well as the massive cracks around the door. The air is not stagnate and the temps feel pretty good. Certainly warmer than what it had been (around 50 at night and 60 degrees during the day [Fahrenheit] ) I still need to get a thermometer.

Kool...I understand Chucktaze. A thermometer is a must.
I got 4 of them, they all seem to give me different temps.
Are you saying at night your temp is 50 degrees and the high is 60 degrees? I don't think thats hot enough.
My night temp is between 72-80 and my day temp is between 90-102.
My Queens tend to like the warmer temps, but I am growing in soil in a PC Case.
Most books state optimum grow temperature to be 70-80 degrees, ... CO2 levels could make this go as high as 95 degrees for increased marijuana growth speed read more here

Do you test the PH of your water and nutes?
    Do you mist you plants?

You must test the ph, the lights look good. If I were you I would get one more bucket and go soil for the 3rd. 2 DWC plants will take up your space. No matter what you do, you'll have to do it soon. As for temps, you should be fine between 60F - 90F. I'll keep my fingers crossed, hope they're female.

Sorry I wasn't clear about my temp situation. Before the extra lights I set up, the temp was low because the heat in my apt was turned down really low and it's still chilly here in this part of the US. The lights make the room much warmer. I put a wet towel in the space and it brought the temp of that room waaaaay down- I was surprised!

I just picked up a pH tester yesterday and will begin using it when I change out my nutes in a couple days. What's the best way to make the neutral solution last?

And yes, I mist my plants. I think it makes the leaves stronger because they have to support that water droplet!

    Thanks for sticking around shadydude!

I had a pH tester that that used drops of solution then had to guess the color of it... that's for the birds- I hate not being accurate. Like I said in the post above, I got a pH tester and will start using it asap! By take up my space- do you mean the plants will or just the bulkiness of the equipment? Thanks for following me and helping me out so much! I really hope they're ladies as well!

the plants will take up space. ph should be around 5.8. That's the number to try to get. Use the ph up or ph down as needed. Not much.

and mist the bottom of the leaves too, it feeds the plant.
