Leaf pics are from today. I noticed some slight yellowing of the lower fan leaves, and some dead, necrotic spots / blotches. See pics. Any ideas? I was thinking P deficiency...

I am planning on hitting them with bloom nutes again in about 3 days. Fox Farm trio Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom. I also bought a little 4 oz. bottle of Super Thrive, and added 1 drop per gallon in my last watering of cal-mag, no nutes.

Two of the ladies are taller than the bulb. My tent is maxed out, I can't raise the light any higher. I think I am going to just ride it out. I am afraid those two top colas are going to be small and airy without direct light. Nothing I can do about it though.

4" inline fan has not arrived yet. humidity is getting up in the 90's when the lamp is off, but doesn't it normally get humid at night?

plants are doing fine, stretching has begun. I supercropped the tall ass lanky one, and accidentally broke 3 tops. i put them back together and taped them shut, hoping that they will recover. they were not completely broken off, but i did separate a majority of the cross sectional area of the stems. Ooops.

watered with straight water with a half dose of Magi-Cal, or Cal-Mag, because I started to see some more rust / orange colored spots on some of the lower/mid fan leaves. I tested my tap water at 94 ppm TDS, so I dont think there is much Ca or Mg in there. Plus, I watered once with FILTERED water, which tested at 70 ppm, even lower. So i know for sure that they need the Ca and Mg. At least I got that problem fixed.

Maybe I will hit them with some more nutes the next watering. That would be 'every other' like I have seen recommended.

The plants are too big for the small space. I suppose I will continue trimming off lower leaves and budsites, or "suckers", to hopefully make larger top colas and not waster the plant energy on small popcorn nuggets. New pics to follow. Thanks!

ladies are all healthy and growing strong. I lowered the light, finished the cool tube venting, and added a 4" duct for exhaust. No 4" in line fan yet. I also added a "Green Pad" for some extra CO2. After adding the pad, I closed the tent and RH got up to 75%, so I have the small white fan venting at the top for now. But, the plants seem to love the CO2! They are growing strong, the canopy almost fills the entire 2x4 space, some branches are pressing up against the walls. Starting to develop a canopy height so I can trim underneath to improve air flow.

Did a little crimping and some LST on the plush, it is growing much taller than the space bomb.

Have been watering with 1 Liter 3% H2O2 in 4 gallons of pH'ed water to supplement the roots with oxygen. Seems fine. I also like the disinfecting quality.

Need to post new pics soon. Also got a pocket microscope so I can start looking at trichs. In all honesty, I should probably switch to flower now, but I must delay a week due to the traveling in July.

looking good. I topped two of the plush berry because they are growing tall and strong. The third one I tied down using yarn for a little LST treatment. After the first tie down, the main growth stem turned up toward the light within 8 hours. I also did another round of water, this time with a little hydrogen peroxide added to give the roots some extra oxygen. I used 1 liter of 3% peroxide in about 4.5 gallons of water, so it was pretty weak strength. No nutrients yet.

New growth is continuing, but seems to have slowed down a little. I lowered the lamp today about 6-8", so it is now 14-16" from the tops of the plants. I also now have a heat gun (infrared thermometer) so I can check the leaf temp. It seems like my AcuRite temperature monitors are pretty accurate with the gun.

Transplanted to 5 gals, NEW PICS

Transplanted the ladies to 5 gallon buckets yesterday because I noticed a small root tip growing out of the bottom of one of the 16oz cups and 2 of the 6 were a little droopy. I figured they were ready for more room. I used about 3.5 gallons of soil in each pot, same mix, 75/25 FFOF/perlite. I read that clones do not produce a main taproot, so I was hesitant to score the root balls since they were already composed of side branching roots. I scored only one of them. I ran out of soil so I have to make a quick trip to the hyrdo store for another bag of FFOF. Luckily I already had the perlite. I did not add dolomite lime this time because I also found out that FFOF soil is ph = 7.2, so I think the lime may raise the ph even further. We will see how these 2 test plants go, 1 scored roots and 1 with no lime. Gave them each about 2000mls of plain ph adjusted water immediately after transplant. Just a tiny bit of run off.

New growth is evident along the tops today, no droopy leaves. I don't think the upcan stressed them too much. I was gentle. Now I am going to study up on training/topping/supercropping techniques to make 4 colas on each plant and to bush them out a bit. I dont have much vertical height in my set-up.<img src="http://www.rollitup.org/attachments/grow-journals/2186922d1338147254t-gods-gift-.jpg" border="0" alt="Click image for larger version.

I have been reading that you can use HPS for the entire cycle, but I am sticking with the MH for now. Next update, topping. Cheers :leaf:

Bought 6 clones today. 3 space bomb, 3 plush berry, all look healthy. Specific notes:

1 has a single bladed fan leaf, kinda weird.
1 is a larger branch with several off shoots but is cut off at the top
1 has dense foliage and branching, looks like it has been topped

They came in what looks to be rock wool cubes in solo cups filled with soil. The soil is definitely not as aerated as my mix. Some of the very tops of the plants are lighter green than the lower leaves. I know this can't be light burn because the were under inadequate lighting at the dispensary. Maybe nitrogen def? Not sure. I put them under the 600w mh dimmed to 50% right now so they can get acclimated to hid lighting. Temps are a little low right now at 70F so I put the fan on 1/1hr on/off to increase
temp. Aiming for 80F day, 70F night. Soil is damp right now, so I have not watered. I may give them some nutrients, high nitro at 1/3 strength I think.

Looking good so far, leaves are perky with just a very slight
droop, well see how they react to the hid.
