Bought 6 clones today. 3 space bomb, 3 plush berry, all look healthy. Specific notes:

1 has a single bladed fan leaf, kinda weird.
1 is a larger branch with several off shoots but is cut off at the top
1 has dense foliage and branching, looks like it has been topped

They came in what looks to be rock wool cubes in solo cups filled with soil. The soil is definitely not as aerated as my mix. Some of the very tops of the plants are lighter green than the lower leaves. I know this can't be light burn because the were under inadequate lighting at the dispensary. Maybe nitrogen def? Not sure. I put them under the 600w mh dimmed to 50% right now so they can get acclimated to hid lighting. Temps are a little low right now at 70F so I put the fan on 1/1hr on/off to increase
temp. Aiming for 80F day, 70F night. Soil is damp right now, so I have not watered. I may give them some nutrients, high nitro at 1/3 strength I think.

Looking good so far, leaves are perky with just a very slight
droop, well see how they react to the hid.

An hid might be a bit strong for starter clones dont you think? Try going with a t5 or florescent bulbs for the first week.

I have a plant that is something cross with Blueberry and many of the fan leaves are single leaves. It's a bit weird, but after a little research, I found that single leaf is a genetic trait in some plants. So that should be fine. Mine is very healthy and doing fine.

The lighter growth could just be new growth and will darken as it matures. Most of my plants, when I switch to stronger or new lighting will send out lighter growth at the top that darkens in a few days. 600w at 1/2 power should be fine for them. You might even turn it up to 75% (if you have that option) in about a week.

As for your other two observations, they are probably spot on... I have created more than one clone from a single branch with several nodes and therefore, only the top clone has "a top"... the other will do fine as well, they will just be structured differently.

Good luck with your clones! Sounds like some nice strains. Wish I had somewhere to buy clones around here, but alas, I had to make all 24 of mine. LOL

Yes Cali, an HID may be too much for young cuttings, however, these clones have been growing under floros for at least 1 week, so I think they are rooted. THANKS BLUEJEANS, I appreciate the comments! I thought the 600w would be too strong too, so I dimmed it to 50% for the first 2 days. Last night, I turned the dimmer up to 75%, and after looking at them this morning, they seem to be loving it. New growth is evident on the tops of the plants with the newest leaves coming straight up vertically out of the very top tip, the apical meristem. I watered yesterday as the pots felt very light and the soil was just slightly receding away from the sides of the 16oz cups. I watered until there was a little run off, the soil seemed to be a little less aerated than my mix, but it was apparent that the plants needed the watering.

I am happy with their progress so far, and hope that they stay healthy! Today is the first day at 75% power, temps are doing fine. I have been messing with the fan settings, trying to counter act the effects of varying outside temperatures. I want to transplant, but I want them to be accustomed to the HID lighting first. I am planning on transplanting them from the 16oz solo cups into 5 gal buckets filled with about 3.5 gallons of soil. I can't fill the buckets all the way up because I dont have the vertical height to support tall plants, I need them to sit lower in the pots. I also plant on scoring the root balls with a razor blade, 4-5 times around the outside of the ball and across the bottoms. Hopefully this will induce secondary branching in the roots and help growth. I am kinda scared though as this might stress them out too much?

Plants are about 6-7" tall right now, the shortest one is chillin at 5", but showing a nice new set of leaves coming out the top. I think they liked the water I gave them

I will post some pictures TONIGHT, I promise. Check back soon!
