Thanks for the response. She is my 2nd confirmed female out of 5 (2 are definitely male), so I don't want to lose her. Also can you suggest any good organic/soil nutes for flowering? Thanks again for all your help.

I am not an organic purist. I also like slow release foods like Osmocote, their 10-10-10. I use a 18-5-9 with micros from start to finish. I blend in the complete encapsulated plant food, plant, water, and leave it alone until harvest. Doesn't answer your concern though. For blooming, I'd recommend the duty 1-3-2 like Jack's Blossom Booster or you can work in a couple of teaspoons of bone meal, in a typical commercial soil blend. I don't know what kind of NPK nutrient charge your mix started with or has now. That needs to be considered too before you start throwing stuff at it. It's a "sum of the parts" thingie. Contrary to popular forum thought and parroted paradigms, growing is NOT about the buds, at least it shouldn't be. Master gardening is about producing and maintaining the most amount of healthy foliage (and roots) until harvest. Think outside of the box on this one. And if you've been following the crap regurgitated in all cannabis growing sites, this concept is gonna be outside of your comfort zone, if you know what I mean. 90% of folks will eventually screw up their plants by the abuse of bloom foods, supplements and such. Keep the foliage green and healthy, that is your focus even if it requires you use a high N food like 30-10-10 during flowering. Don't worry about the buds, they'll be there when they're damn good and ready.

Again, the plant's branches are droopy which suggests insufficient moisture. When you have such nice thick, healthy foliage, it is next to impossible to over water. As quickly as you water the plant it's wicking off soil moisture via the roots as driven by leaf transpiration, capillary action, internal tissue water turgor (pressure). Such a nice condition provides for a lot of soil aeration automatically. It's just that easy.

FWIW, I've had plants like yours in a 3 gallon pot and they were using water so fast I had to water twice per day. Water until you get good runoff from the drain holes, don't be stingy. If the plants are in saucers (the kind with 2" tall sides) you can use a turkey baster to suck up the tea out of the saucer and then use the tea on indoor plants or your garden outdoors, etc.

Might wanna flip the switch real soon or you're gonna end up with a tree! That Mazaar looks pure indica and capable of producing huge rock solid colas much like my avatar, IF, you maintain the leaves in their current healthy condition until harvest. Just a thought, there's gonna be A LOT of phytochrome hormonal action with that Mazzar, such that you could probably feed it pure N like blood meal, ammonium nitrate, UAN, etc. and it wouldn't even faze the flowering response.

Good luck,

Hi Guys !!!,

I hope this little thread will help any newbies out there.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

The strain I have germinated is Exodus Cheese from Greenhouse Seeds.

I had them in wet tissue (PH 6.0 water) in a plastic tupperware box in a dark cupboard with the top NEARLY SHUT to allow a bit of air.

They sprouted in just over 48 hrs but 2 have short roots so I will wait to pot the other 2. 8 out of 10 germinated at the same time - but that's Greenhouse for you!!!

I have placed them on the perimeter of my flourescents so they can search for light. I will follow up with more pics tomorrow. I am expecting that all of them will have poked out considerably.

If you decide to try this and loeave ur tap root as long as I do, then please remember to be light fingered and do not disturb/break the root.

Once the root is guided into the hole by the wooden skewer then you have to very gently pack the soil so that it touches the root. This is important because u don't want light bleeding onto the root either. If you are heavy handed then maybe pot them before the root gets this long but make sure u don't bury them.

It is very delicate but check the pics in a day or two and u will see !!

Anyone have any experience with breeding 2 diff phenotypes of the same strain? Thanks in andvance. :peace:

I do. When you breed 2 different phenos within the same genotype the resulting progeny will have opened up the genepool thus bringing recessive traits that have been bred out by the breeder to the surface, resulting in a wide open genepool. You will get everything to choose from in phenotypes. Im sure you can find a strawberry lemonade pheno but it will be clone only as you would need to rebreed with multiple generations to make that the dominant trait.

well you can make or buy it, generally any chicken wire with 2-3 inch holes will be good for ScrOG, you put it about 5-20 inches above plants, depending on height restrictions which it doesn't sound like you'll have with 180cm of height. So for your tent, put it high enough that you have enough space to put your hands under and move around so say 10-13 inches or so above the top of the pots...

I have some brilliant stuff if you have a look at my journal I didn't buy it, I found it in the garden where I used to live but I'm sure you can pick it up from pretty much any hardware store, don't know what it's sold as or what it would be called as such, but the holes are a good 2 x 2 inches and perfect for ScrOG.

The idea is you just let the plant grow with no additional training, though I like to top my plants for 4 main colas and tie the main stems down a few times so it gives a chance for all the 'undergrowth' to catch up and reach the screen at the same time as the main stems. The principle is, you let the plant grow through the screen a few inches then pull the stems back under the screen to the next square (or hole) along you don't need to do any tying the strength of the screen should hold plant growth under.

Tip: If your using chicken wire its a good idea to tie a weight to the center of the screen or put a screw in the floor and tie the middle of the screen to it just to hold it down as chicken wire isn't very structurally sound with the force of plants pushing up on it :)

Tip: Try to fill out the screen anything from 50%-75% during VEG! and if in doubt flower a little earlier rather than later, as a very crowded canopy is less productive than a slightly looser one, eventually you'll get the timings bang on.

Do it right and you'll be scrogging for the rest of your life, if you like spending time with your plants, you'll be more than happy with the extra few grams - oz you'll get, I've pulled anything up to 3oZ a plant using my micro setup and some dodgy CFL's with a VERY underfilled canopy (could have fully filled the screen in hindsight and probably gotten 4-6 oz from 1 plant) now I have a hps I'm hoping to double the 3 oz mark, touch wood XD

Stay Frosty!

your soil looks nice and dark, which means it probally has lots of good organic material in it, brew up a cheap compost tea to use as water, you can achieve this with a small amount of molasses and a 1 gal jug. you will need a air pump and airstone

and some worm castings, if you dont want to buy a bag of worm casting (8 bucks a bag will last you forever just making tea) you can buy a can of worms (like for fishing) and remove the worms and use the "dirt" that they are in, this will run you about 4 bucks though and its only enough for 1 use, better off making the investment in a decent size bag of worm castings.

you can go to wal mart and for .33¢ you can buy a knee high pantyhose to use as a "tea bag" you can reuse this. so ingeredients you will need

worm castings - $8
pantyhose- .33¢
molasses- $3
air pump and airstone- (look for used one somewhere, yardsales are good) $10 (new)

if you get these items you have a nice organic way to make a great compost tea that will enhance the "life" in your soil

basically to make the tea..

put 1 cup worm castings per gal of tea you want to make (3 cups is enough for 5 gallons but you probally wont need 5 gal of tea and it dosent store well so just make what you need)
inside the pantyhose, tie a string around it and set it in you bucket, fill bucket with water, put airstone in the bucket and turn on the airstone. add 2 tblspoon molasses per gal of water and let it "brew" for 24-48 hours.

when the tea is done you can water in as much as you want, it will not burn your plants and you can also use it as a foliar spray.

i am subbed up, and in for the ride. any questions just ask
