The strain I have germinated is Exodus Cheese from Greenhouse seeds.

I had them in wet tissue (PH 6.0 water) in a plastic tupperware box in a dark cupboard with the top NEARLY SHUT to allow a bit of air.

They sprouted in just over 48 hrs but 2 have short roots so I will wait to pot the other 2. 8 out of 10 germinated at the same time - but that's Greenhouse for you!!!


I have placed them on the perimeter of my flourescents so they can search for light. I will follow up with more pics tomorrow. I am expecting that all of them will have poked out considerably.

If you decide to try this and loeave ur tap root as long as I do, then please remember to be light fingered and do not disturb/break the root.

Once the root is guided into the hole by the wooden skewer then you have to very gently pack the soil so that it touches the root. This is important because u don't want light bleeding onto the root either. If you are heavy handed then maybe pot them before the root gets this long but make sure u don't bury them.

It is very delicate but check the pics in a day or two and u will see !!
