Let's see here. I'm typing this update weeks after the actual harvest, but I wanted to finish my grow journal. I had another thread that got more traffick on the same strains, but that is besides the point.

The OG#18 was fucking awesome. I will definitely grow this strain again. I harvested her on day 55. This strain had such a wonderful smell to it. It smelled like sweet n sour skunk. It tasted somewhat sweet with a sour chemmy taste that just exploded in my lungs. This plant didn't stretch but 8" during flower with it finishing at a height of 20". I have seen some OG#18 out there that had these hairy buds. I did not have that pheno in this particular seed that I grew out. The canopy was even after being topped a few times. I should have vegged it alot longer, but I was growing an Ak-47 at the same time. Stupid on my part! Anyhoo I only got about 36 grams dried off of her of some dense, hard as rocks, nugs. That is by far my personal worst yield of anything I've ever grown. The quality more than made up for the low quantity. This is my favorite smoke that I have grown to date. I had some heat issues this summer which caused me to get about 20 seeds of the #18 that I put up for future use! Hell yeah! I still have 5 feminized beans left of the #18, so I hope I get one of those hairy bud phenos to at least get to try out. And by the way I should have let this strain go for another week, but I was out of bud and could not wait any longer.

Now for the Ak-47. All I can say is that it is the biggest yielding strain that I have grown so far. It's weird that I grew the best and worst yielding strains together during the same grow. Lol! Anyways I got almost 4 oz dried off of it. The colas on this plant were so heavy that beranches were actually breaking. It was a beautiful sight to behold. The buds were covered in trichs with a fruity smell to them. This plant is definitely a sativa dominant strain and it grew like one as far as height goes. I didn't even veg it a whole 30 days I think. It ended up over 4' tall. The buzz is all in the head. It's a good old racey sativa. It's not really my cup of tea, but I do like it for a daytime smoke. I like the hard hitting strains. It could just be this particular pheno, but I don't plan on growing this one again. I am by no means saying that it isn't good. I know people who gladly would pay $50 an 1/8 for what I grew. It just isn't what I am looking for personally. The buds didn't turn out quite as dense as i thought they were going to, but they weren't really airy though either.
I made some has with the trim from this and a little bit of actual bud, and I smoked some in a bowl the other day. I was so damn high that I felt sick to my stomach and was tripping balls. I just layed my head down on the coach and passed out. Shit like that rarely happens to me. I can't remember the last time that actually even happened to me. I'm learning that I am more of an indica or hybrid type of a guy as far as strain preference goes.

Well this is the end of this grow journal. Peace Out!

I was going to post some pics, but I have them on my other laptop and it isn't working. So I'm going to post a link to my other thread, and if you would like you can look at my final shot there. Here is the link: http://www.rollitup.org/general-mari...eserva-14.html

The Ak-47's branches are about ready to snap from the weight of the colas. I didn't use stakes because my closet walls were there to support the branches. This plant is very top heavy though. Really nice looking buds on this strain. The buds are hairy and they are a nice brownish color. It has a sweet fruity smell to it. I don't think it's an overpowering smell though. The leaves are starting to turn yellow and fall off. I've just been watering them the past 2 times, and I will continue to do so until I harvest. The plant is ready to be harvested whenever now. I'm going to harvest it in about a week.

The OG#18 is my favorite of this grow. I love the super stinky sweet n sour fuelly smell that it has to it. The buds are very dense and full of trichs. This plant took to topping very well. It bushed out with a very even canopy. I don't think it is a very high yielding strain, but the quality and strength make up for that. I think with a longer veg this strain would have did much better. This strain was a bit nute sensitive, and didn't drink as much as the Ak-47 did. The Ak-47 would always need some water a day before the OG#18 did. Overall I know that I will grow the #18 again in the future.

Here are a couple pics of each.

Well I haven't been writing to much on this journal, because I have another thread on these plants that gets more traffick and comments, but I'm still going to keep posting for myself if noone else is checking it out. So I'm finally on the countdown to harvest now. I'm thinking they will definitely be ready by the 9 week mark which both of these strains are said to be according to the breeders info. The Ak-47 which has been giving me problems ever since it started flowering. It has what I believe is a Cal/Mag deficiency, and I finally broke down and bought a small trio of some nutes. I got Botanicare Cal/Mag, Power Grow, and Power Flower in the trio pack that I bought for about $20. I don't have much money to spend on these sorts of things right now, but I am glad that I did now. It has been about a week since I first got them and was able to feed mainly the Ak-47 with 1 tsp of Cal/Mag to a gallon of water. I also put 1 tsp of Power Flower in the gallon of water as well. I think that there has been a stop to the deficiency and possibly even some improvement of the diseased leaves. The buds have started to swell regardless of this problem. It has trichs all over the place on this plant. I really can't imagine how much better it would look without the deficiency. But even with it it is still a beautiful plant. I am really looking forward to seeing what kind of smoke she turns out to be. If any of that hype is even close to be worth it? I've read that this strain has lost a lot of it's vigor over the years and is somewhat watered down from its hey day. I can't say for sure if I have even smoked this strain before, so it should be a treat none the less. It has some positive signs that tell me she will most definitely be potent. The frosty buds are proof enough for me. It doesn't have an overpowering smell to her at all. It has a fruity smell when up close and touching it. Now my OG#18 is a little stinker for sure. I absolutely love the sour funk smell that is just eminating from her. I'm very happy with the way the buds are looking and the smell like I already said is to die for. This plant was started into flowering at only a foot tall and is now about 22" tall, and I think that the fact that I flowered her at such a small size is really going to effect my yield. To me it looks like I will be lucky to get a zip off of her. The plant is just a light yielder. The buds are rock hard and dense as fuck already. The thing is that I didn't clean up the bottom of this plant at all and there is nothing growing at the bottom of it at all. There are only the buds that are at the tops. I guess this is what I was shooting for anyway, but I have never seen a plant do this before. Anyways here are some pics that I took yesterday.

I'm having a small nutrient deficiency that is causing some red dots and red stems on my Ak-47. I flushed it real good, and I haven't gave it anymore nutes. I ordered some Botanicare Trio Pack of Cal/Mag, Big Grow, and Big Flower. At least that's what I think the last 2 are called. Regardless I'm going to try some Cal/Mag as soon as I receive it in the mail. I'm not to worried about this problem because the plant still looks great. It is covered in trichs and if you mess with the plant very much you are bound to get sticky with resin. It has what smells to me is possibly cherries. It's definitely a sweet fruity smell but it isn't overpowering. Now the OG#18 is f#%*ing overpowering with this sweet and sour funky ass smell that I cannot get enough of. Whenever I am handling her, the odor just starts rolling throughout the room. My carbon filter does a good job of keeping the smell to a tolerable level to where I feel safe. But it cannot get rid of the smell of that OG#18. The buds on the canopy are already hard as rocks when you sqeeze them. Nice and frosty too. It is really starting to produce some trichs now. A later starter on that aspect compared to the Ak-47. Only inches of stretch on this girl, so I know next time to veg her to at least 24". I'm LST'ing the shit out of her right now because the canopy is so thick. Just trying to get some light to the shit underneath the canopy, but I just broke a branch trying to LST a little more. I taped her up with some quick first aid. I think and hope that it will be alright and pull though. I cannot lose any of that bud from that plant because she is so small as it is now. I'm hoping to get 2 ozs dried off of her, but I think that I am dreaming on that one. I can already tell that this is going to be some of my favorite smoke ever just by the smell and the look of it so far. It will become a staple in my garden after I go thru some more strains to find some other keepers like the OG#18. Anyways here are the pics from Day 25 of 12/12 that I took yesterday morning. Please enjoy! The 1st 2 are of the Ak-47. The last 3 are of the OG#18.

So like the title says it is Day 19 of 12/12 for these 2 beauties. It looks like the stretch is coming to an end now finally. Well the OG#18 didn't really stretch at all, so I wasn't worried about it at all as far as height is concerned. The OG#18 is still as a short 20". It is quite a bit bigger around though. I'm doing some LST on her to try to help get some light underneath that thick ass canopy. I don't know how much it will help in the end. Next time I grow this plant I will make sure to veg it alot longer. I will just have to make sure I grow it with similar growing plants next time. It is really starting to stink. I can smell it pretty good in the morning when I get up creeping down the hallway away from my grow room. The bud formations are starting to come together now. There are trichs on all of the sugar leaves now. This is looking and smelling like it is going to be a strain that I really like and will probably keep around in the future as a regular. I have so many different genetics to try out before I can really afford to grow it twice in a row. Anyways back on topic.

I started to notice a problem with my Ak-47. It has these small little red dots on a bunch of leaves. These infected leaves have red stems too. A couple of them fell off my plant on it's own, and I pulled a few of the worst ones off myself. I believe that it is a potassium deficiency. I flushed her real good a few minutes ago. I'm not to worried about it right now. I'm sure that I can get it worked out sometime down the line. At least I hope so. Anyways the Ak-47 is looking really nice besides that. The bud formations are starting to come together to actually form buds. This plant is nice and triched up on all the sugar leaves and even on some small fan leaves too! It doesn't have a super strong smell that there is a slight sweet smell that reminds me of something fruity. It looks like I am going to get a nice yield off of her as long as things keep going as they have been. Fingers crossed! Lol! She is a solid 3' tall now, but I think the stretch is pretty much finished now. She might grow a few inches taller over the rest of her life but that is about it.

I have had 2 of 4 seeds pop of these Alphakronik White Diamonds that I have. One is doing alright in my veg box under 2 CFL's. One 26w bulb and one 15w bulb I think. The other seed just popped this morning, but I had to due some surgery to get the whole damn shell off. I got it off, but I am not sure if it will actually make it. I use an exacto knife to get it off. I didn't have a hard time doing it, so I think it has a descent chance of making it. I had actually given up on this seed. I put another seed in a wet paper towel to germ yesterday, and to my surprise when I walked into the grow this morning there was my little deformed newborn. Now I have started germing that other seed, but I can only have 4 plants at a time, so I will have to make a choice soon as to what I am going to do if this seed germs and the newborn pulls thru its surgery as well. That will put me over my limit. Oh well, I will figure it out.

Here are the new pics of my babies. The 1st three will be of the OG#18. The last three are of the Ak-47.

UPDATE: Day 11 of 12/12

Just wanted to post a quick update on my grow. It is day 11 of 12/12, and they are really starting to put off some smell even with the carbon filter....

Just wanted to post a quick update on my grow. It is day 11 of 12/12, and they are really starting to put off some smell even with the carbon filter. I'm happy to have that happen because in my experience the stinkiest weed is always the best! So the Ak-47 is about 40" tall now. That's about 20" that it has grown in a couple weeks time. That is some fast growth and quite a bit of stretch. I didn't realize when I planted the Ak-47 that it was a sativa dominant plant that was going to grow tall like this. It already has some small buds forming everywhere on the plant. And I can already see some trichrome formation on the sugar leaves around the new bud formations. That is a good sign of what is to come!

On the other hand I have my OG#18, and she is very short and compact at close to 20" tall. She was only about 15" tall when I flipped to 12/12 bout 3 weeks ago. That is hardly any stretch at all compared to the Ak-47's. It looks like it is going to be the slowest flowering plant that I have grown to date. It has some very small buds forming on top of the canopy. They are really small and barely formed so far. I can't see any trichs yet either, but she does has some pungent sour smell fuming from her.

I just gave my plants a hit of some bloom fertizer (15-30-15) for the first time yesterday. I only gave them 1/4 tsp of nutes mixed in my watering can. It looks like they took it without any signs of stress, so I will continue to feed them from now on. I don't like to use much nutes during my grows. I found with Miracle Grow soil and nutes that you don't need to use much anyway. Less is more has always been good advice to use for me.

Well here are the pics that I promised. Hope you enjoy!

The first pic is of both plants with the Ak-47 being on the left side and the OG#18 on the right side. The 2nd pic is a close-up of the OG#18. The 3rd pic is of the OG#18. The 4th pic is of the Ak-47. And the 5th pic is a close-up of the Ak-47.

So yeah I had to chop my Blue Cheese due to it having balls everywhere on it. It was looking good too. This is my first hemie with a feminized seed. I assume that it was due to the heat wave that we have been having that is causing my grow room to be a few degrees hotter than usual during the day. Although I didn't think that 82-83 degrees was really that hot.

On the good side of things, I went into my grow room a minute ago and there is this sweet funky smell just rolling out of the room. The Ak-47 is already starting to frost up on it's miniture bud formations. The OG#18 is staying short and compact and is slower on the flowering part compared to the AK-47. It is still looking good though.

I popped 2 Alphakronik Regular White Diamond seeds into soil yesterday. I might try them 12/12 from seed, since I don't have an extra place to use to veg them at. I might try to fix something up, so I can veg for a few weeks before the flip. I realkly just haven't made up my mind on that one yet.

Well, that is pretty much all that I have to report on right now. I will post some pics in a couple days. Peace Out!

So I chopped my La Diva last Sunday which was day 58 from seed for her. I have put her into a jar now. My guess is that I got close to an ounce. I don't have any scales here anymore, so I can't say with certainty how much I yielder off of her. She finished up about 20" tall. She didn't grow much taller once she started to flower. She has a nice berry smell that isn't very overpowering. I just smoked some, and I got a nice buzz off of a half a joint. It isn't top shelf smoke by any means in my opinion. To me this is some good mid-grade weed that I would sell for $40 an 1/8, but this is for personal smoke. I'm just trying to give you all an idea of the quality. As far as how this smoke tests, I want to wait until it's been cured before I comment on that. I seriously doubt that I will be messing with auto's of any kind ever again. I think that auto's just aren't going to be as potent as your regular photoperiod strains. You can get some smoke quick by growing them though. Plus, if you have space requirements then an auto might be the best strain for you to grow. I am growing for pure quality smoke, so they just won't duy in my garden.

I am growing 3 regular photoperiod strains as well, and they are the Serious Ak-47, Barney's Blue Cheese, and Reserva Privada's OG#18. I just flipped them from 20/4 to 12/12 two days ago. I can't say how much I am looking forward to seeing what these strains are about. I bought a shit load of beans and these were some of my favorites of what I had bought.

The Ak-47 is the biggest of the 3 strains that I have going. It is about 21" tall now and is just as bushy. It has small sativa looking leaves that are of a dark green/blue color. This plat took extremely well to being topped. It has grown pretty much without incident. I did notice some droopy leaves 2 days ago, but I gave her some water and a few minutes later the leaves were standing straight up again. I'm assuming that this strain is a big eater. I have her in a 5 gallon pot, so she has plenty of room for her roots to grow.

The OG#18 is the next biggest plant at about 15" tall. She is quite bushy as well. She has light green colored leaves and a wonderfully sour smell already in veg. I haven't had a single problem with her so far. She has been the model plant so far. This is the strain that I am looking forward to the most.

Last but not least is the Blue Cheese. She is a shorter plant at about 13" tall. The leaves are dark green and indica looking. According to Barney's she is an indica dominant strain that will stay short. So far it looks like they were right. It doesn't have much of a smell to it yet. I figured that it would, but I was wrong.

I cannot wait to see what these strains look like in about 30 days. I will basically know what they are going to turn out like by that point in time. I just hope that these strains turn out to be some top shelf smoke because that is what I am shooting for.

So I think that the La Diva is just about finished already. I was checking out the trichs, and there were some amber one's in there. I decided to go ahead and start to flush her out. She is about 20" tall and has quite a few buds on her. I figure that I might get close to an OZ out of her. She has a smell of berries and cream. It's not an overpowering smell, so if you are looking for a fairly low odor strain then this one is for you. I have to say for my first auto strain I am not really that impressed with the quality of the bud, but if you have space requirements and time issues then an auto like La Diva is for you. I don't think that the trade off of quality is worth it in the end. Although the time frame in which you can finish one of these bad girls is quite impressive to say the least.

As for the perpetual strains that I have going right now, the Ak-47 is just a beast of a plant. She has responded very well to topping. She has bushed out almost as wide as she is tall, and she is about 16" at the moment. She is a nice dark green color with small sativa looking leaves. Then there is, probably my favorite of the bunch, the OG #18. She is just a little smaller at 14" tall with light green leaves. She already has that sour smell that the OG is known for. I really cannot wait to try this one out. Then there is the small indica Blue Cheese. It is a really nice darker green color with big ass leaves. It's pretty short at about 12" tall. This will be my first indica strain that I have ever grown before, so I am pretty stoked about that. I like to have a nice variety of strains to smoke if it's possible to do so. I am very happy with the strains that I have chosen for this grow so far. I will know more once I flip them to 12/12. Anyways here are a few pics of my ladies:

So this is day 48 for the LA Diva, and she is really starting to impress me. The smell is really starting to develop in a major way. It had been odorless up until now. She is about 20" tall. She isn't going to be a very big producer, but I think I am going to be extremely happy with her. I think I will get around an oz of bud off of her. This is my first autoflowering strain that I have ever grown, and now I know why people like auto's. They are good for growers with space requirements. Plus in a couple months you are finished. Anyways the Diva is starting to produce some visible trichs on the sugar leaves around the buds. And that is the best indicater of some really good weed imo.

So my Ak-47 is huge. It responded like crazy to being topped. I'm wondering if I need t be worriedabout space with this strain because it is growing so damn fast it is crazy. Actually so is the OG #18. It is just a little bit smaller that the Ak-47 is, but she has a really pungent sour smell to her already. I absolutely love it too! I cannnot wait to try her out. And my little mutant lady Blue Cheese. I don't know what was going on with her, but after I topped her the next set of leaves that grew out were completely deformed looking. She is staying pretty small compared to the other strains. I actually thought she was going to die on me, but she is coming back on strong now. I am just stoked with my lineup of girls right now. And to think that these plants are only a few weeks old now. I guess in a couple more weeks I will be flipping the hours back to 12/12. And hopefully the LA Diva will be finished flowering, or at least close to it.

Well here are a few pics: Please enjoy and feel free to comment!

Day 42 LA Diva: AK-47, OG #18, and Blue Cheese

So my LA Diva has been flowering for two weeks now. The formation of the buds are now starting to be seen. You can see what I am saying in the pics that I posted. It is definitely a low odor strain. No smell to speak of unless you touch the plant. She is about 19 inches tall. I guess that it will be ready to be chopped down in a months time.

Now for the plants that I am really looking forward to. The AK-47 is the biggest of the other 3 strains that I have going right now. I had topped her earlier last week, and she responded great to it. I decided to go ahead a top her again. Being topped hasn't stunted this plants growth at all. She looks great imo.

The OG #18 and Blue Cheese are doing well also. They have both been topped, but I'm not ready to top them again yet. They did well with being topped too. Not quite as well as the AK-47 though. I think that by the time my LA Diva is finishing up, I will be able to switch to 12/12 w/o any problems on my other 3 strains. I cannot wait to see what type of nugs these strains produce.
Here are the pics that I was talking about:

Well the LA Diva is really starting to take off now. I guess it's about 14 inches tall now. Nice new growth with white pistils everywhere. It's not a bad looking plant. It doesn't have much of a smell yet though. I guess the carbon filter is helping with that. I added 4 26w 2700k CFL's for some extra lighting for flowering the Diva. The lights are on a 20/4 light/dark cycle. I also have the 400w MH going too, but I will switch that to the HPS in about a month when I flip to 12/12.

The AK-47 and OG #18 were both topped at their 4th true set of leaves. The Blue Cheese isn't quite at it's 4th true set yet, but when they finally pop I will be topping her too. They all 3 look really good though. The stretching is pretty much gone since they were all transplanted now. There isn't much to talk about when they are still vegging, but I am pretty stoked to have these strains in my garden. I can't wait to try them out.

My La Diva has finally started showing some white hairs or pistils. That means that switching my lighting schedule from 24/0 to 20/4 must have helped kick start this plant into flowering. I kind of figured that it is better for a plant to have a little bit of dark time. The La Diva is looking great though. It is about 11 inches tall and about the same in diameter. I guess that is a good size to start flowering at, at least I hope that it is. Most other people that I have talked with say theirs started flowering at about 6 inches tall, but they were running their lights 18/6. I guess the hours of light an autoflowering strain gets is much more important than what I had originally thought. Anyways I just hope that this La Diva can finish flowering before I have to flip to 12/12 for my other 3 strains that I have going in about 5 weeks. Well that's it for this update. I will post again this Friday.
