Here we go, let's grow, grow, GROW!!!
OK, I find myself turning to rollitup.org for all of my growing needs, so I figured I would make use of this journal function while I'm here.
WEEK 1
Germination of the seedlings has begun 
I have them snug in paper towels (keeping damp) underneath my cable box. There is 1 white widow and a dozen bag seeds. It's been 3 full days today and so far only 1 has cracked it's shiny shell. We have a small space in our bedroom closet we are using, we are hoping to have 4 girls flowering by Valentines Day Being on a budget we are using 6 daylight cfl's at 6500K 26w, and 6 soft white cfl's at 2700k 26w for Veg. and plan on just switching the daylights for the same soft whites during flowering. The space in our closet is about 4ft long x 18" wide and 4ft tall. We lined the interior with tin foil and made our own ballast holding 6 of the cfl's, and hung the rest accordingly. We have 2 small desk fans running vertical through the 1/2 of our closet we are using, we just used a piece of plywood and cut out holes, stuck one fan facing in and one facing out. Got a digital t-stat (have to get small heater for dark time, it has dropped below 40 degrees in there) Also must deal with having no humidity (possibly bowl of water and damp towel hung to dry?)
6 daylight 6500k 26w & 6 soft white 2700k 26w for VEG - *I'm not totally sure if I should use all daylights for the VEG but I simply can't afford them. 18hrs light 6hrs dark
12 soft white 2700k 24w for FLOWERING - 12hrs light 12hrs dark.
Lets see how the seeds pop and go from there............
