Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I've just put a 2nd light on my plant (there only 2 60w cheap lights from a DIY store with crocodile clips, as a cheap grow this time!) an I noticed today that the top of my compost has went very crusty, a bit like tectonic plates! Is there anyway around this, as the plant is thriving an totally green not getting burnt from the 2 lights as not too much heat an there right next to it, but the state of the top of the soil was worrying as they moved if you touched them including moving the plant a bit?? Also I'm near enough watering it once a day as the compost keeps on getting dry. Cheers guys
