Welcome back to the Coco & LED grow journal. A quick recap to bring you up to speed in case you haven't been following along so far. The entire CANNA line of products is being used. The plants, which are autoflowering White Domina, are a couple weeks in from germination; and after germing went from rockwool cubes, and then into soil while under two T5 lights, they got moved under the LED a week ago today.

Two days ago the plants were transplanted into the 3 gallon coco buckets. And they were given there first dose of nutrients (about 1/4 strength) with the first watering.

After experimenting with proper light heights, it seems that it might be best around 18 inches for now. If anyone has input there, it would be greatly appreciated. But wow, the girls have really responded well to the everything. I can't say for sure if it was the coco, nutrients, or finding the right height for the light, that made something click, but I'm sure each one had a role it making the plants respond. They're developing some nice, healthy, leaves and the stems are starting to thicken up nicely. I've got a couple pics here of one of them.

And an update, I had 4 seedlings. The runt I mentioned before didn't make it. I tried everything I could to save it but it wasn't meant to be. And the third one still hasn't done anything, no true leaves ever developed. I still have it under the light and moved it to coco with the others so we'll see. Keep you guys updated on that one. But for now, main focus is on the two that are thriving.

Thanks again for stopping by. I see the view numbers going up, but no feedback? Come on, spread the knowledge and help me out here! I'm still learning so any words of wisdom will be taken with gratitude.

That's all for now, update again in a few days. See you next time!

Thanks man, I'm really happy so far with how the plants have responded to everything, the LED, coco, and nutrients. I think you may be on to something with the autoflowers. I knew they're supposed to be smaller plants, that's what I was really going for when the seeds were ordered; but I'm starting to think there might be something unstable about autoflowering seeds because we germed 5 and only 2 have really made it of the White Domina, and some one I know had a mixed bag of 10 male/female seeds of some autoflowering Blue Himalaya Diesel and not one seedling survived past a couple weeks. Not exactly sure about the circumstances around why all those failed though, but seems like there might be something there...I'll probably end up trying out some other auto strains before I reach a verdict on that though because I know a lot of people have great success with them. As for your problem with getting seeds, not sure what country you live in, but you might want to consider Attitude Seedbank online. They're super discrete, fast, and deliver to most countries.

You know, I'm not quite sure. I've heard some people say that yes, he was an employee of CANNA and left to start up House & Garden; but then I've also heard a lot of people discredit that and say it's only a rumor. I tried to do a little research on my own before replying, but I couldn't find out much in the way of actual facts. Anyone out there know anything about this? I'd be interested in knowing as well because CANNA and House & Garden were the two lines I was debating between using.

Those smart pots look pretty neat. I might pick up a couple of those for the next round. My biggest concern would be if they are messy since I couldn't really see exactly how and where they drain from based on the pictures I was looking at. I couldn't tell what kind of material it's made out of, sort of seemed like a cloth or net(ish) material almost?
