After talking with some folks on here, I decided that I didn't have an adequate light setup in my closet. Before I had one 4' 2 bulb fixture, running a 5000K tube and a 6500K tube. It was pointed out that the tubes were much less efficient, since the light was spread across the entire length of tube, and it was suggested that I add CFL's to the mix. I went out today and grabbed two more 6500K tubes, and two more 5000K tubes, as well as two 6500K CFL's and a couple of clip on fixtures. ...
It's been a week since I planted my seedlings, and I've gotten a total of about 2 inches of growth from each (see pics). I've continued to use my rag in water technique to keep the soil moist. I only add enough water to moisten the top soil, and come back to water it when the top looks dry again. I realize that there's probably more moisture under the surface, but since each watering is so little, I'm thinking I'm doing okay. I probably give each plant two spritz's per day. For ...

Over the past 16 hours, the two seeds that have begun germination have grown almost a full inch. I'm planning on planting these tonight. I wanted to note here that I don't think I was using enough water the first two days. The seeds did begin to show signs of germination after about 36 hours, but after I increased the amount of water being given, the growth shot through the roof.
