So things arestarting to look a bit more like weed now that I am starting into week 4. I have really been keeping it simple using my moisture meter to tell me when to water and then i just do one feeding with some generic liquid plant food 5-15-5 and the next wattering is done with PH balanced tap water. Seeing as how this is my first attempt I am very happy with the progress and am shooting for a goal weight of 4 ounces and will be stoked for anything above that. She is also really starting to smell great! Nice fresh weed smell filling my room. It is going to be interesting to compare my first grow results with my roomate who i inspired to start growing. (he is doing super silver haze)

Hopefully this is the start of a more regular update showing some nice buds.

Another long period between updates mainly because I am a lazy stoner, also my computer is a peice of shit and doesnt like to work consistantly. Anyway these pics are from today and it is the start of week2 flower. She is looking good, really taking to the light change. Was also able to confirm her as female so it's all :hump: from here.

Nothing to special I do one watering with full strength MG bloom nutes and the next watering with just plain water. Seeing as how the plant isnt dead yet things are going well hahaha. Can't wait to start seeing some buds!!

It has been a while since my last update, lots going on so not much time to do the pictures and write up thing. I have been dealing with a magnesium def (from what i can tell through research and picture taking) so i have been mixing in 1tsp of epsom salts with each feeding, and have also been doing a bit of foliar feeding. So far it seems to have helped.

She is quite trained now bending out to the edge of the pot and starting to turn. But she is getting pretty large and i will need to switch to flowering soon due to height problems.

Here are a few pics I just took, for the most part she looks good and am trying not to mess with her to bad. Like I said the epsom salts look to be staving off the mag def.

Today is the 19th day of veg for this grow and today i decided to finally start LST. So far she is still getting regular distilled water when she needs it. Other then that she is coming along real nicely. Here are some pictures of the recent growth and start of the LST. Currently using 6 of 8 30W 6500K CFL's

She has also started to produce a really nice smell like a tomato plant

Nothing too major I hooked up a humidifier close to the intake for the cabinet and with the fans being three speeds i can controll the relative humidity inside the cabinet. Right now it is at 75F and 65% humidity, with three lights currently on.

Best way to describe today, finally got all that setup shit out of the way and am declaring this post to officially start the 1st grow! Lots of props to my close friend eBaked for his masterfull electrical work to make sure our grow doesnt burn my fucking condo down! Also for taking on half the cost of the project in return for half the share in succes (or brillant flaming failure bongsmilie LOL)

So just to sum things up

Cabinet Specs
30"H x 30"W x 19'D
2X 120MM 3speed 110V CPU fans (always set to high intake & exhaust)
10" Circulation fan (this is just temp till I get off my ass and get something new)
300W CPU powersupply
4 Main lines each with a Y splitter for each so the possibility of up to 8 bulbs.
30W 6500K CFL's for veg
42W 2700K bulbs for flower (just two bulbs cause they throw HEAT)
24W 2700k bulbs to make up the remainder

Soil
Shultz premium soil?? The lady at the greenhouse was absolutely baffeled when i tried to talk to her about soil hahaha and this was the only thing that said anything about the PH lvl (even then it was a vague "around neutral")

Nutes
MG 12-4-8 for vegin
BioTLC 4-12-9 and some mollasses for flower.

Northern Lights is the strain and her name is going to be Aphrodite in honor of today being STD-day. I am also going to use LST and topping to help manage her in the cabinet. Hopefully planting her into the soil at 4:20 this afternoon will give me some luck with this being the first ever attempt. Due to a few power set backs we were finally... So me and my buddy took this weekend to really get down to business on the cabinet and finish it off. Due to a few power set backs we were finally able to get all the wire work, fans, and power needed. We decided to go with a 8 light CFL set up each light has ample ammount of cable for height adjustments and is wired into a double box ontop of the cabinet for extra space incase more wiring is needed later on. We went with two 120MM cpu fans hooking into a 300W power supply with extra power needed for more fans down the road. We also have a small 10" oscilating fan inside for circulation inside. So hopefully everything works well just need to grab the last of the bulbs, order seeds, and get growing.

(30x30x19) also picked up a few... Wow busy weekend, ended up heading into home depot to chuck some cash and walked away with a pretty decent cabinet. (30x30x19) also picked up a few misc electrical supplies for later on.

We have gotten lucky on the materials front and so far have found a lot of things either really cheap or around the house, work. I picked up some GREAT thick high heat tape to help seal up the inside of the cabinet from light so that was a major score. The inside is not perfect but then again i am far from a perfectionist so it all works out in the end.

For now things are kind of at a stopping point while i wait for my grow partner to return from out of town work (14 days :wall: ) but he will be brining back the electrical supplies needed to wire this bitch up. I will grab more tape to finish up the inside seams and possibly install the intake/exhaust fans this coming weekend.

I have thrown a few pictures up of the progress so far, and that wicked tape i have going on. Also everyone seems to have shots of their cabinets and kitties so i felt it was the right thing to do. His name is Syl and he is 8 months old and has stinky farts.

I have been putting a lot of thought into my setup and have decided to start small. I have been reading this site for a week solid and have learned enough to make me look at weed in a totally differnet way. Anyway small cabinet CFL grow with one plant (Decided on Nothern Lights) soil grow with some light LST training to manage size. Hopefully by the time I get the cabinet all built and seeds organized this site will have given me the best possible start to this much anticipated project.
