Ok so here's the background. My apologies for starting a thread a little further along, but hey, I'm here.:joint: Yes I ramble & it's a big run on paragraph. Started with 142 watts of cfl in 16 oz party cups about 4 weeks ago (4x25 watt 6500k + 1 42 watt 2700k). I germed nyc diesel seeds I got from a friend & indica bagseeds i had collected in paper towels in sandwich baggies. At 3 weeks I added 200 more watts of CFL (8x25 watt 6500k) under a wing attached to a bathroom fixture for a total of 342 watts. I will be adding more light soon! The real kicker is we have ambient light coming in from a window well that gets eastern exposure to the room, so there's extra light from that too. A friend also gave me 1 White Widow female & 1 Trainwreck female from an outdoor garden with more to follow. ( You can be jealous now, or even more jealous when I cross them with nyc diesel to make White Diesel & Widow Wreck ) They are both 5 1/2 weeks old now. Some plants are topped, some will be lst'd soon, some will be be left alone. None of my seeds are femm'd so hopefully I get more females than males. No temp guages or ph monitoring yet, everything looks great. It's probably 76-78 degrees in the room with humidity a little high, probably 65-70%+ since it's downstairs. Using tap water. Just switched to 5 gallon buckets with espoma plant tone fed 1 tbsp. per 3 inches of pot width. Been using superthrive every watering as well for healthy roots. Also used it in germination & seedling stages. Good stuff. Light cycle for now is 24-0. I used various soils, mixtures of mostly those new moisture retaining soils with ferts added & some extra perlite & vermiculite as well. Here is one crappy phone pic, the WW is in the orange container, the Trainwreck in the black container, & the Indica is just to the left of the TW. The rest are ALL NYC Diesel, ohhh yaaaa. Will post more next week as I have transplanted more. Questions, comments & even trolls are all welcome. bongsmilie
