It's actually stupidly easy. Back before I grew cannabis, I always called it "Rooting from Cutting." You'll need a cup of water, sharp scissors, and lights.

I used to spend $300 per grow just on nutrients, then I learned about organics, and now I feel really stupid for falling into the cannabis nutrient marketing. Between Ocean Forest and Roots Organic, I noticed the Roots Organic felt lighter, appeared to be more breathable, and typically feed for few weeks longer. I'm not 100% sure, but I could swear I thought my plants even grew faster in the Roots Organic. However, the Ocean Forest was half the price. And by the end of the season, all the plants harvested about the same.

I've been buying Kellogg's Organic All-Purpose Fertilizer (NPK is 4-4-4) from Home Depot. It comes in a 4 lb bag that retails for around $6.00 US. The product is a mix of different dry ground up manures and meals that break down slowly. Usually 2-3 applications per season is all I ever need. I can use tap water. My classic recipe makes a 1 liter solution and should be used immediately. To begin you will need the following ingredients:

• 5 ml neem oil
• 1-2 ml insecticidal soap
• 1 liter hot water
