So everyone who is a UK citizen growing you may have already seen my other thread about the decriminalization of cannabis for personal use;
https://www.rollitup.org/medical-marijuana-news/506136-change-cannabis-law-uk-27th.html
If you don't already know about this change of law on the 27th of February have a good read of that thread before you comment this one.
There is also this link confirming that the government have agreed to this http://clear-uk.org/effectively-growing-your-own-has-been-decriminalised-we-are-free/
If you are caught in the UK with cannabis it states if you have no more than 9 plant's or 100grams on you you can only really get a 40 - 80hours community order
So i got really pissed off when this happened to me earlier:see below picture
oooh wooow haha - edit.jpg
This is beyond a joke now, the government refused to limit immigration and even if they don't have the right to move to the UK and work here (europeon) they can claim that they will be killed if they return home and they are given work permits, permanent citizenship a home benefits etc...

There are no job's for the rest of us as seen in the picture job centers website, normally the jobs are all useless EXPERIENCE needed, full university diploma needed, nothing to help 18 year old's like me and tbh most people between the age of 16 - 25 but no jobs within a 15 mile radius of my address... please

I apologize if anyone believe's this not to be legit from half the link being censored out but i had to just in case police look on this website, i don't want them knowing what my 15 mile radius is...

Cannabis being Legalized as shown here;
E-petitions.jpg
Is majorly in favor compared to not in favor in fact it seems that 0.0001percent of people in the UK don't like cannabis that sound's about right aha

My main point here is cannabis being made legal could create at least 50,000 jobs in the cultivation business, Britain is not the type of place you can just leave a plant outside in a field and get a good plant it will more than likely die especially in scotland where it's god damn freezing, Also i think the government should tax cannabis not stupidly like they will probably attempt but a fair amount this could take us out of so much debt on a number of factors;

- ALOT less people on job seekers so the government will save money alone there.
- Tax charged on cannabis.
- Morphine is an expensive pain killer used by hospital's as it is basically watered down heroin, i would much rather a spliff to treat the pain 10times more effective and probably about 50times cheaper for the NHS.
- Alot less crime yes i know some people will go out committing crimes to fund their habbit but they do anyway maybe cheaper more available weed will stop this happening so much
- less crime from drunk and disorderly.

I could go on for hours... feel free to express you're views on both of these threads, any + rep given will be returned.
I will now leave you all with a bit of kush and wizdom another good point about cannabis ;)

it definitely seems like a step in the right direction, still 9 plants or 100 grams? seems like an oxymoron to me, simply due to the fact that i would be hard to keep 9 plants under 100gs meaning that for the average grower who would be caught with x amount of plants that the above rulings would be for the most part useless. like i said i believe it's a step in the right direction and hopefully can be built on

I'd rather grow it myself and make a few quid rather than it be legalized and have it taxed at tobacco levels and lose my business. Decriminalized is slightly better though I guess

That is a great point fslashthroat but i see this as a great headstart while people are buying 20watt wilkinsons light bulb for ten plants we know what were doing we have time for one more nice crop after this one i apply for 50 jobs a week and don't hear back from any for the past 6months you seen. The picture job center always has jobs none within 15miles of my house that is pathetic in there 2grows i am making money before the bailiffs come to take all my stuff got a beautiful daughter to provide for her and when people everywhere are just buyin a seed and putin it in a crap light bulb on it there will be a lot of shit weed about coming out as we all know it as `English` our good well grown fat dry stinking is going to be rare with big prices being offered for it the things we have done against the law is now going to be most of our full time professions everyone growing and selling legally growing trees of bud in your garden sell that in mass to the government just take advantage of the fact we know what we are doing here and most people don't we might even be able to pay taxes with weed like America in the 1800s i think this is a buy out ticket a way to get legit and be the top men of the business and make so much money without risk of prison

And
wdragon the government are clueless of how much you can do with nine plants or they are trying to get it out there slowly to make a lot of tax money on it they must be doing this for a reason i think its linked with something to have happened for there to be next to no on jobs left everyone on jobseekers they need to save us from falling so much into debt and start rebuilding our economy there use to be two dollars in a pound now there almost equal so i think it means if you are stopped and searched and you are traveling with that much on you then you can prove it as personal but in your home you can have 9 plants that is crazy

I think it's more if you have 100g's dry and generally if you get raided they don't count or work out how many grams are on the plants, you could have 500g's on 9 plants and none dry and only get the fine or whatever for the 9 plants.

@ Elliesdaddy; I totally agree with you on the taxation of cannabis, thinking about how much more it would be used knowing it was legal we could probably wipe the UK deficit out in a few years. But then again knowing the government it'll be that they have the controlling interest in production and sales so it would literally make it so that personal growers couldn't sell any 'excess' but would be allowed to grow, I don't know how it would go down if fully legalized.

I hear you about the job centre, generally I stay away from their site because it is so crap, I use a lot of agency's and other jobsites... I suppose luckily I'm in central/east London and the job market has only just started picking up. I was made redundant last year and until recently there has been nothing about (in the sectors I'm looking for work)

One last point, the thing you'll find with immigration and 'taking all our jobs' is that before the government started outsourcing properly to other countries it just got to a point where englishmen simply refused to do some of the i suppose 'crappy jobs', our work ethic has been terrible lately (no offense to anyone but in general). You'll find a lot of people don't want to work, why would they a lot of the time you can earn just as much on benefits. And now the government are getting immigrants from the polish countries and what not with people who will work hard for minimum wage and who will get the job done whereas the average englishman wont (I know some will etc but generalising again)

I'd love to see patients in a ward all smoking weed lol that'd be awesome! though to be a viable painkiller to use in the hospital they'd have to liquidize thc in order to put in a drip/needle and all that jazz...

not english but are only 3 million unemployed out of 51 million,are those the right figures?
It's something like that not 100% sure, but a lot of the employed are foreign workers, and unemployed are i dunno native brits? for the reasons I pointed out above :) ... We are by far not the worst country for unemployment figures but we are only a small country land wise maybe its proportional to the population of other countries comparitive to their size pff I dunno :/

totally agree with you op, but morphine and heroine are slightly different mate. and morphine costs practically nothing to make, itd be more expensive to grow weed.
i work in pharmacy, only reason i know that. everything else tho, 100%

is that really true tho, id not heard the decriminalisation thing anywhere?

You might want to check your sources before you go around spreading any more false information. CLEAR, or more precisely Peter Reynolds, is wrong when he states that cannabis had been decriminalised in the uk. There were some new sentencing guidelines issued recently that mean prison is no longer as likely for small grows, but we are still a long way from decriminalisation.

You will still have to go to court if caught, and will get either a fine, or community service, you will still be demonised in your local newspaper, your door will still be taken off it's hinges at 5AM if the police suspect that you grow, and you will still get a criminal record.

Decriminalisation would be good ofcourse, but i highly doubt it would happen.. not with cameron in office anyway! :-(

we would still get a criminal record for growing but can get a prescription for savitex...well atleast we still got our freedom but i think you need proof of 'medical' usage

I know this thread may be pretty old but i wanted to explain why you can have 9 plants and only 100grams

if you have 9 plants not all of them have to be flowered at the same time, if you have them in sets of 3 and harvest them at different times then you can have more but less weed.

Wrong Agentstaple, less than 9 plant's is a small offense so the smaller fine and some community service, then there is a medium offence and then a big

Something worth considering is that people responsible for healthcare in the UK (Doctors etc) will not accept other people's studies on cannanbis as evidence. There would have to be a whole host of bureaucratic pish to wade through before approaching the idea of even just having weed for medical reasons. Lots of medical studies and the like. Years of studies.

For now I'm very happy with the recent change, a small change, but a huge help to the average joe.
