i have a legimiate biz in a warehouse and my neighbor is growing next door. i doubt it is legal because of the size...but i am and most of my employees are legal.
the smell can be a little bit much, he is doing his best to control. but everyone in my company knows.

i also have spotted/smelled about 3 other units occupied by growers in my industrial park. because i know exactly what to look for. so its not that easy to hide if its huge. one unit was busted a few months ago, but i think he was shipping it to another state because there were out of state cops there.

as long as your within your legal limits its not that big if a deal, but if you go huge all your neighbors will know. def go with tents.

I owned a commercial building a while back and rented it out. In the real world, no matter what is implied or written in the rental agreement, I still had the right to inspect and maintain “the safety and integrity” of my property, by law, anytime I wanted to do so. The state rental laws granted me certain rights, even though they weren’t in the rental agreement or contract. Owners of properties usually win out in court, regardless of perceived rights of the renters. I’m not saying that it’s right, it’s just how it is.

You may not know that the owner is going to come in and inspect the property but I guarantee you, if they are anywhere near the property, they can and will go in when you aren’t there and make sure you aren’t destroying the property. Even if it’s not written in the contract, they have the legal right to maintain the safety and integrity of the building with little or no notice.

I’m just saying, make sure you’re up tight and alright when renting commercial property cause in the real world, they can and will inspect whenever they want to. Just my 2 cents and it’s experience talking. S

I will say that if you had built a freestanding plywood room within your space and the door was padlocked and no smells were comming from it, personally, I would have never entered it.

Had I entered it, it would have been breaking and entering. At least in my state. Just saying... Be smart and thourough... S
