Grow day 1. Questions about last steps

Germinated my seeds and i am planting today. A few questions

1. When I plant them into the 5G buckets (they are autoflowers so I am avoiding transplanting) how much water should i give it for the first time?

2. Should I turn on the light as soon as they are planted? I heard debates that I shouldnt light until a sprout. Am I ok to just turn on light?

When I plant seeds they go in and I water most of what I would for a plant. I give a quarter gallon or so of off gassed water with vitamin c, a bit of molasses, and epsom salts. That is for a 3 gallon pot after the bean and water I leave it alone for a week.

You can use off gassed tap water you could also throw in a bit of calmag.

It does not matter, but once the cotyledons are out they need light. If you want to go ahead.

I'm on my second grow of auto's. I use distilled water, about the same as Dan (Quarter gallon or so) I planted with and left the lights on.
