    If you are only going to buy only one light bulb....go with the HPS for the entire process. The reality is that the blue spectrum of the MH is better for the veg cycle and the red spectrum of the HPS is best for the flowering. Also, both can be used simultaneously throughout the entire process for the complete spectrum of light required. As mentioned, if I had to use only one bulb...HPS...just my opinion. Happy growing!

    i have a 1000 watter switchable dimmable ballast cooltube whole 9 yard setup im interested in from start to go if i do MH for 2 weeks then HPS for last weeks? or just MH or HPS full grow... soo any new answers?

    147 views, and all these people grow autos, but noone has any other best suggestions here or input at all? this shits crazy lol

    Dude jus go wit the hps the entire crop time. As stated above mh is good for veg an hps is good for flowering. But if ur only gonna use 1 then use the hps

    I grew a shitload of autos starting a few months ago looking for a decent strain since we can't grow photos outdoors in AK. I had some under MH to veg and others under the HPS. Eventually all ended up under the HPS. No discernible difference in the end. In my limited experience.

    Start under the metal halide, keep going until you see flowers, 1-2 weeks after you see flowers then make the switch to hps.. if you got the 2 bulbs.

    my crop right now is 3 weeks out from a full harvest, i have the auto pounder seeds already sent out from attitude, i appreciate all the help anyways lol this is gonna be a first real auto grow done, im thinking of order some sweet tooth, and blue mammoth from barneys farm next and doing atleast 2 of each... but like i said first real auto grow gonna happen so i was alil curious, thanks all ill do the HPS
