You can certainly clone them, but it isn't a good idea because you really won't gain much in yield compared to leaving it on the mother plant, or this is what I have been told. I have never actually tried it, so your mileage may vary.

You can clone a auto. But it will be advancedin stage. So when it's ready to flower it will. Even if it's 2 inch tall. By cloning you might of stressed it and got a extra week.

It isn't that autoflowers can't clone...it is just that you are just taking the yield and lowering it..where as you can clone a photo plant and it will make a whole new plant..a clone of an auto will take off where it left off...at the same stage that the plant you cloned was in...there is no way to veg the clone to get it bigger, and also no way for the plant to regrow the cloned spot before flowering starts.

Well then there is the correct information. Stupid that people can't get real information from heads. Now I know. Thanks.. I read many a place that says you can't clone an auto butt obviously it is just stupid pot heads not able to write directions out of a wet paper bag. I was kidding too. It has not shown roots yet but I think it will. Least I got good info from a few seemingly knowledgeable monekys so I don't waste my time.. Thanks again and remember, only you can combat stupid, Use a condom!!!

they will only flower when mature enough to do so, this is usually about 2-3 weeks, even on a 12-12 schedule
also don't think anyone is/should be listening to anything you have to say when you are asking questions like the one in the OP

auto flowers will continue to flower during the cloning process unlike a normal plant would revert to veg for a time period. this in turns shortens the amt. of time for buds to grow making you yeild less and often less potent buds. but good job autos are hard to clone.
