the way i did my seeds were inbetween 2 layers of moist paper towels and then i put them in a ziplock bag that i blow air into and then put it into a dark place. took just 2 days to sprout
one of the most crucial things = moisture and temperature
The glass of water thing is good, when they can sink it means that water has permeated through the shell (this activates dormant enzymes)
When they go into the moist paper towels, if you can keep the temp at about 20 oC then they should crack open within hours. Id recomment getting an electric propogator, can get them for like $20. You can put the paper towels in there ontop of the heat mat, coz it will be the perfect temperature for seed germination and it will b constant, not like putting the seeds on a radiator or something, which i did earlier this year and someone put the heat up and almost cooked them all. Heat is crucial because enzymes have optimal working temperatures, and 20-25 oC should be perfect. Make sure the towels are always moist but not drenched under water. Once the shell cracks with the root then they can go straight under soil (about 2-3mm) under a propagation light ready for the leaves to pop up and have their first feed of rays
its all about mositure, darkness and temperature while in the paper towels, if u get these right u can germ seeds within hours
DSCN1608.JPGthey 've now popped taproot, well yesturday,so they were born on the 8//8/12, there now in some soil, so all goin good so far, will keep updated with pix, keep a tokin peace

is it al;right to leave them in full sun , or is that to much for seedlings
greeni
and if the shell hasnt be cast off the seedling yet, i would keep them in a propogator or some kind of hood that keeps moisture in. coz if the seed shell dries out then the seedling will have a tough time tryin to cast it off. So jus b aware
Seedlings should be kept in a humidity dome until they have their first two sets of leaves. If you don't have a humidity dome then a plastic sandwich bag or something similar will work. This will also help shed that shell.
Also, I would not put them into full sunlight right from the start and not for any length of time.
